Well, I have no doubt the game will be great, but I just think it's ridiculous to hype a game the best ever. It just doesn't make sense (for obvious reasons). I may buy a Wii yet. It depends on how these games turn out. :shock:

Ohh I definitely agree with you there, my point really was that this is nothing new. Putting Nintendo aside just for the hell of it, or expecting too little of them when they have created some of the best games ever to a lot of gamers, is just pushing it a little...

Games like OOT didn't get up there and didn't constantly won awards of the greatest game of all time for nothing. Sure I actually find OOT to be somewhat overrated (I hope I live :P) but my opinion is worthless...

Saying of course that to go against some of the games at E3 requires being some of the greatest of all time, is groundless at this point in time. So in a way, that also falls into your point that I have to agree with.

Probably because it is not exactly new and people have already been playing beta's of it for a while now. Why would it be considered when it was revealed ages ago now? It just does not make any sense. Same with Mass Effect which was unveiled at E3 last year, while we never saw much of it last year, it still was there.

And people should not be suprised that Super Mario Galaxy got a lot of nods, it looks like its going to be loads of fun and will no doubt be a huge change from Super Mario Sunshine or even SM64 which was that last really good Mario platformer imo. I think for a lot of people, SMG is going to feel as innovative and as fun as SM64 was 10 or soyears ago when it first came out.

Mostly sensible, however Mario games just aren't fun anymore its a tired rehashed series.
