Shouldn't this be in the GOWIII section? Under the game.danish-deathIDK, I'm not sure what the story with GoW series is. I'm just guessing from Greek Mythology what the GoW III story is going to be about.
dude i am greek , none of what you said about greek mythology is true.
Cratos or Kratos was a friggin TITAN , he was the son of Pallas and Styx.not the right hand of zeus.
really i find your ignorance of greek mythology offensive.

According to Wikipedia:
"Cratos and his siblings,Nike("victory"),Bia("force") andZelus("zeal"), were all companions ofZeus. The name is derived from the common nounκράτος, meaning "force', "strength" or "power".
Cratos simply accepts Zeus's orders completely. Zeus's justice, for Cratos, is the only possible justice."
Might be based off lots of different interpretations though...

Considering Nike is an epithet applied to athena I would suggest you maybe study some greek history/literature when talking about ancient greek culture especially mythology you realy do need some lengthy study, and alot of this stuff is open to interpretation and some sources are written centuries after the fact.I said GoW III must take place "before" the Trojan war, and not all of the titans were imprisoned btw. There was the "War of the Titans", but not every Titan was sent to Tartarus.if you bothered to read proper greek mythology then you should know that at the time of Zeus , The titans wereimprisoned.
plusi dont know were you read that story about hercules and troy....but man you need tocheck your sources.

All the Greek Mythology I have read has been for purely for fun and I have never gone around saying what I'm saying is true. I was simply stating something I read and wondering how true it was. :P
That being said; what would you suggest I read (am genuinely curious :))?
Not all of the Titans were imprisonedyes the war of the titans, a war were the conclusion was zeus being the victor and imprisoning the titans forever.

Any Greek Tragedy is worth a read oedipus rex, would be worth a read has some nice cultural inflections on prophecy and hubris, the agammemnon is also worth looking over reveals some interesting cultural attitudes towards women, euripides' the bacchae is also an interesting read, the medea and for anything on sparta always go with plutarch.
please note though these are in text format they were intended to be performed so you may fing it jarring if you try to read it like a normal book, with the exception of plutarch,If you want a slightly more readable experience yet one thats heavily routed in the oral tradition then the illiad and the oddysey will be valuable to you.EDIT

Christianity and Jesus's "story" are all borrowed ideas from Roman mythology. So are you saying Jesus, God, and the Bible are all made up?
Quit trying to start things. Yes, Jesus, God, and the Bible are made up. So is little red riding hood, the 3 little pigs and Pikachu. I'm gonna go bury my pokemon handbook listing all the pokemon, maybe in 2000 years they'll dig it up and think we actually had them.[QUOTE="BodyElite"][QUOTE="wayne_kar"]

lol. It's pretty likely that god can't exist. Nothing in this world is absolute, yet we have a being who has absolute power/goodness w/e? BSPlease Log In to post.
