Kratos, the mercenary (not the wannabe god) is, to some, the most iconic character from one of the most oft-overlooked amazing JRPG from last gen: Tales of Symphonia. This game, with its extremely deep story, complete with tons of unexpected, though sensible, twists, was one of the best JRPGs of last gen, perhaps even on par with the Final Fantasy games released during that time frame, as well as Kingdom Hearts.
The game's fully real-time battle system sets it apart from most other JRPGs, with a relatively simple, though simultaneously deep, amalgamation of spells that must be maintained before they can be cast and basic melee attacks.
This game, in my opinion, receives far less praise than it deserves. I, personally, will be picking up a Wii for its sequel alone (and that is quite an impressive feat-I am not a particularly big fan of JRPGs).
What're your thoughts on this game, as well as its promised sequel?
And, yes, Kratos is more awesome than Kratos. Explaining it, however, would require many spoilers...
