KZ2 MP: Is balance possible with less weapon restrictions?

I'm having an absolute blast with the MP in KZ2 atm, however, the one thing thats started for me is the "staleness" of the weapons. I think all the weapons are great, they each have pros and cons and they're all useful in certain situations. What I mean by staleness however is how most of the classes are forced to choose from a very small selection of primary weapons. Most commonly the main rifles (M82 and Sta52) are the guns ppl have to choose from and the M82 sees much much more action than the Sta52. This limited selection has led to a bit of staleness to the guns. Everyone is using the M82 and frankly its started to lose its charm. Some variety would definitly go a long way. From personal experience, the M82 sees the most use by far, with the shotgun coming in second. Every other gun has mild use sprinkled here and there in every round.

What I'm wondering is if ppl think its possible to allow more weapon selection for each class while still maintaining balance. I'm not talking about full unrestricted access to everything but certain classes just feel like they could be still be balanced with access to more guns. For example, I think the medic would not become totally unbalanced if it were given access to the STA11. However, things like the sniper rifle and rocket launcher definitely should be restricted.

Anyone else think some more variety of guns for each class would make MP a little more interesting, more fun and promote more ppl to try different roles?

I realize its possible to pick up any weapon you want off the ground but sometimes it'd be nice to spawn with a different gun.

I don't think so, there are only a couple of classes that allow the assault rifles, and while the M82 is most popular I do see some people running around with the STA52... Also the fact that engineer, scout, and sabotuer are very popular classes and DON'T allow assault rifles mixes things up a bit. I also see quite a bit of Assault Classes and rocket launchers running around. I think the balancing with the weapons is spot on to be honest

If they removed the rocket launchers for the soldier and replaced them with rifles and the shotgun for the assault class it would be perfectly balanced.

killzone2 multiplayer looks like a joke, everyones in a big cluster lol everyone get's crowded up at doorways and crap.

It's disabled in MP, so you can't.

I am loving the MP as it is, no complaints.

It's not like the rockets have a lot of shots.
