i got the game 3 days before release, completed it yesterday lulz i think the single player was fantastic and multiplayer is very good but the game has sucky aiming and rocket launcher noobs in mp are annoying
I got the game one the first day of its release. I played through it and it was great...but ever since I finished the game, everything about it has suddenly become a 'been there done that' experience. Even tried the multiplayer for the first time, and it felt so very very average. Nothing shines about this game, nothing sets itself apart from the rest and I'm disappointed in that because usually all PS3 exclusives do just that. So idk, I let my friend borrow the game and he can keep it as long as he wants since I don't care about it anymore. Lost interest for it just like that.gewbjewbYou got it on the day of release... that's almost 3 months ago... any game that keeps me occupied for that long before getting boring was more than worth the money IMO.
I enjoyed the MP and SP, both were excellent. It doesn't do much to deviate from the tried and true method, but truthfully, not that many games do anymore. Especially in the FPS arena.
I'm still playing MP, so it's obviously doing something for me :P
The game has a great SP, but I feel as though the online pales in comparison to Halo 3, and honeslty, even Gears 2. Not sure why, but I can't have much fun with it, the controller lag (yes I know its supposedly been "fixed"- it hasn't) is what ruins it for me I think.
[QUOTE="thetruespin"]wow... please tell me more...gewbjewbPlease...don't get butthurt.
Nice reply, good to see that we've seen the extent of your debating skills.

Lol what about his reply? Did it get ignored because he is a ps3 fanboy like yourself?I was talking about your reply, and how it conveyed your awesome debating skills.
I'm not a PS3 fanboy, i'm more Hermit, than anything.
Believe what you want though ;)
I still love it. I actually just bought the map pack for it. I have never traded a game in so I have plenty of variety.

Completely the opposite for me. When I started playing it, I despised the controls (though I think they were patched later) and just generally thought the came was generic as fug apart from the graphics. At the time, I wasn't in the UK and didn't have a great internet connection so couldn't try out the online, but ended up going through the single player alone three times (once on Elite, the Veteran and then on easy to speed run it without dying). Even now I just feel like going through the SP again; that alone is a testament to how fun it is. I rarely SPs over and over again.
I think I biotched a fair amount about KZ2 on this board, but the truth is I've become fairly addicated to its multiplayer. As far as consoles go, there's no MP I like more than it and lately I'm playing KZ2 far more than any other game. Despite that I do feel it's still a bit sluggish and the controls could still do with a little tweaking (admit it, face to face stand-offs are nearer to spray praying unless you've got the shotgun or rocket launcher), I have grown real fond of its weighty feel. (---> Inevitable COD4 comparison -->) Playing COD4 afterwards, though the sudden fresh breath beauty of 60 FPS is nice, really feels flimsy and toyish in comparison.
I would not call KZ2 a generic game by any means. Though it has strong influences from many breeds of FPS (from Unreal, to Quake to COD), it's definitely entirely its own beast. Definitely worthy of the 9.0.
The multiplayers still fun :|
......im by my self here arent i :(

Nah, i'm with you. though i haven't been on recently.
:D
halo and gears can be buggy (gears more than halo), but most sony exclusive fps are incredibly solid... that being said, even though they are buggy there tends to be a gritty-ness and a more interesting story to the games. i find that the ps3 fps are more about getting from point a to point b, and the story feels super-imposed. if you got rid of the story then it's a guy with a gun killing orher guys with guns. that's true for all fps, but when you look at halo or gears the enemies behave a certain way, or the environment changes or there are mulitple ways to get through. The game has a great SP, but I feel as though the online pales in comparison to Halo 3, and honeslty, even Gears 2. Lol what about his reply? Did it get ignored because he is a ps3 fanboy like yourself?lol great come back! you sure got him there :roll:The mp is fun, but the controls suck. I hate having to be able to choose between only 2 options for the analog sticks. It's either sprint or zoom. And when I get in an intense firefight, and I'm shooting an enemy, I tend to push the analog stick too hard and then I start sprinting and stop shooting, and it's annoying as hell. :(
SP seems pretty mediocre, but I've only played like 30 minutes of that. Doesn't stack up to Crysis, but then again, almost no single player FPS does.

First hour sucks, well its alright but it picks up big time and honestly I hate single player FPSs but this one was really enjoyable and I didn't feel like it was a hassle to play through. at all.
no you're not. I play KZ2 multiplayer every day. It's so much fun :) if so add me so i can shoot up ur a$$ with my shotty :D No I would be too if my Trey wasn't dead . Eve would be if he had internet connection in his apartment. Don't listen to these KZ2 accusations. I don't know why I even came into this thread...[QUOTE="Doolz2024"][QUOTE="Generalmojo"]

I played that game and nothing else for three years straight. Talk about saving money on buying games. $20 in three years, yet they say PC gaming cost more.....HEH.
I actually kind of agree but I think for me, it's that I'm sick of all FPS. I don't even find myself playing COD WAW or MW that much anymore. Instead, I'm playing Tales of Vesperia, Excitebots, No More Heroes, and Persona 4. I'm playing Burnout Paradise more now with the Cops and Robbers pack (PS3) as well. I think that's the main issue here is that FPS have all become kind of the same.
I get tired of most games after I beat them. KZ2 MP is fun,but im not an extreme MP FPS guy. I pop it in once in a while get like a good 2 hrs of play and then pop it out.

Well KZ2 is a great game, I have over 100 hours in it I think. And really get a kick out of it, especially chosing the right class for the situation and taking heads off one by one :)
With that said though I think I know where alot of people are coming from. I think most of us put in a huge amount of hours on cod4 when it came out, then pretty decent number on cod:waw when it came out. Not to even mention the fps's that we played prior to that series kicking things up a notch. Me it was BF2, TF2, HL2 Death match, and Quake 4. So with all of this in mind there prolly is a good chance that we are slowly getting tired of fps's and KZ2 just came out at possibly the wrong time.
I've played cod4 recently again and it just feels like what it is and thats a arcade shooter, especially after kz2. So my feelings or others aren't really entirely of KZ2 but just fps's in general.
With that said though I'll be on KZ2 tommorrow if anyone wants to meet my wrath from 9am-12pm est lol:)
