L4D2 bores me and it's really not worth $60. MW2 is quite better than CoD4, but neither are "OMG TEH MUST HAVE FPS!" I'd give MW2 8.5-9.0 and L4D2 7.5-8.0 so MW2 is better IMO But I'd take Killzone 2 over both :lol:

MW2 is a generic shooter with no real improvements and a lot of gimped features (mainly on PC) as opposed to l4d2. While it doesn't revamp the old formula at least it added improvements and there's still no game that does the zombie apocalipse and co-op gameplay like it.
How can people say they're totally different? They're both bland FPS's:P
For me it's which is the lesser evil, and its MW2.

Yeah I agree, L4D is not a great game in any way and combined the games still have less content than MW2 which is ridiculous. I don't care that the best company ever makes it, it's not the best thing in the world.

I believe that is because this site has more "intense" hardcore gamers, where mw2 appeals to the mainstream hardcore. Yes I am now classifying hardcore into different categories but its true. My classification goes as follows: Intense hardcore: values a good story counts more than just multiplayer appreciates the games under the radar Mainstream hardcore: plays games like halo 3, mw2, brawl (meaning only games advertised; this is not to say an intense hardcore can't enjoy these) finds value only in the very competitive aspect additionally, i found intense hardcores are generally libertarians... huh (just an observation)

that's because most people here have jumped on the MW2 hate bandwagon. apparently, it's cool to hate.
Lets see, one is removing features that were in the previous and charging full price The other is adding features that should have been in the original and charging full price Err... I'll get them both eventually from the bargain bin.

so just cos most of the world says so i have to fall in line, because in my reality i would rather have left4dead 2 than Modern warfare 2, does this somehow mean i am out of touch with reality? of course not, does it mean i have my own opinion and don't follow general opinion lika sheep? yes,yes it does, i am an individual sunshine, i am not the rest of the world, if the rest of the world chose jumping off a cliff over a nice tea party, would you follow the rest of the world? of course you wouldn't

Would you rather have a game with 5 levels, no story, paper-thin characters, and a few different modes (all using the same levels), or a game with a full-fledged campaign (complete with *gasp* a story), extremely in-depth and replayable multiplayer, and a great co-op mode on top of that. The choice seems obvious to me.
L4D2, i stopped caring about cod series since COD4, i skipped mw5 and i will also skip mw6; i love co-op games and im a sucker for zombies which is the perfect deal with me, plus idont plan on feeding IW and activision`s greed.
Honestly this is a battle of bigger rehash and cash job(ofcourse valve will get the free pass...for being well you know..valve). MW2 is a letdown, haven't really messed with L4D2 much to really rip it a new one like i can rip into MW2.
