no this is exclusive to the ps3 only no 360 ever. it was in the deal sony lets gta4 go multiplat and the next title is exclusive
Wow, first mysterious Title, now LA Noire going exclusive?
Why Rockstar is doing this? 360 has a bigger userbase, great library, an attach rate much bigger than Ps3 and at almost half the price allied with Halo3 lauch should guarantee several more millions of units sold.
What's behind these recent decisions?
another exclusive to the list ...bu bu buh teh ps3 has no games..redandblack23
lol seriously sony's 08 line-up is monstrous .
In a thread i made about a week ago i gave evidence for why this game is exclusive. Sony financed a lot of it, and have a deal with team bondi.
i can't wait to see what the mysterious exclusive rockstar game is

There is mixed news about its state, actually. For one thing, it is no longer a Sony published endeavor. Sony did fund a good deal of the project with Team Bondi but now its Rockstar's publishing apparatus. L.A. Noire's blog clarifies it quite clearly.
This will be a 360 and PC title, just AFTER it is has been exclusive to the PS3 for a while.
This is bing developed by the smae people as the Getaway isn't it? I hated that game.
Hopefully this game will turn out alright. It's a great concept for a game, I just hope it doesn't turn out like the Getaway.

that was team soho
that was team sohomgsbethatgame
Team Bondi was formed out of Team Soho after Getaway 1. So it is by some of the same people.

Sony made a deal with Rockstar to let 360 have GTA4, while Sony got 2 new exclusives from Rockstar. This is one of them, the other has not been shown but considered better then GTA series.
[QUOTE="Pripyat"]L.A. Noire is wholly funded by Sony, so it's 100% exclusive. But Rockstar is not the developer, just the publisher - so don't get to excited.dmaximumWhat? where did you pull that from? i need a link for that comment.
L.A. Noire is the only game they're working on, so...

"Kristan Reed: How are you funding the project? Has SCEA given you an advance or is this self-funded and totally independent?
Brendan McNamara: The project is wholly funded by Sony Computer Entertainment America. We have a long-term exclusive arrangement with SCEA"
Like I said, timed exclusive. It's launching in that fiscal quarter only for PS3. X360 and PC versions will be in existence, promise.Oligarchy_USA
lemmings can dream

I think the developemnt is being funded by Sony, so that seems unlikely.

lol STFU until the devs say otherwise don't make people think stuff that isn't concrete like you're a higher up.For now what isvery very very concrete is its exclusivity.
1 sony funded the initial project, if sony have relinquised publisher rights to Rockstar a deal must have been made..why invest in a game and then lose it like that?
then there's the other mysterious rockstar ps3 exclusive.
my 2 cent sony got down our their knees.

Yep, that was years ago, here's a recent one:http://www.lanoire.net/2007/06/15/xbox-360-release-likely/
The financial report also stated that fellow Take-Two title LA Noire is due out in fiscal 2008. The spokesperson suggested that both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 releases are likely, stating, "LA Noire is being developed for next-generation systems."
For the record, the article you're referencing came out in 2005 when Team Bondi was still being financed by Sony and not by Rockstar who is funding them now.

Whatever, I've been following this game since 2005 before most people even knew what it was. I have no reason to lie, but it's clear that this game is not an exclusive.

Awesome wikipedia quote. This game is not exclusive, a timed exclusive, but not an exclusive. When it sells well on the PS3 it will be ported to the X360 and PC. Kind of like Oblivion in reverse. Just because it's not listed on T2's fiscal quarter reports doesn't mean that it's only EVER going to be on the PS3. It will be an Xbox and PC title.
for the people who don't know what la noire is here goes some info
L.A. Noire is an upcoming video game developed by Team Bondi and published by Rockstar Games for the PlayStation 3 L.A. Noire is set in "a perfectly re-created Los Angeles" of the late 1940s, with players being given an open-ended challenge to solve a series of murders. The postwar setting will include the noir necessity of corruption, as well as drugs and jazz themes. The game uses a distinctive noire colourin style to strengthen the feeling from detective movies of the '40s.
Though little information has been disclosed so far about L.A. Noire, Rockstar has given a little impression of the game in the first trailer. The "Noire" part of the name is a reference to the film noir genre, a class of black-and-white movie which was most popular from the 1940s to the 1950s.
and for those who say l.a noire isn't exclusive here you go
Brendan McNamara, Team Bondi's president, responded to an interview with Kristen Reed that "the project is wholly funded by Sony Computer Entertainment America. We have a long-term exclusive arrangement with SCEA

oooh i see now you're just assuming it'll go multiplat. Actually thinking about it you're probably right. if rockstar took over when you said they did then they've probably been financing a lot.

Sometimes developers want a certain console to do better than they are, so they develope exclusive games for it to try and boost sales.
Did you ever think of that?

Probably. I never even heard of the game.
What the hell does LA Noire mean. Somes like a French game for the European market. We probably won't see this game in the U.S. Even if we do, it probably won't be until 2009. Meh.:P

blackace
What an incredibly thoughtless thing to say. A game published by Rockstar gets a minute release? Sure about that? Not know what Noire means? Pathetic.
Please, all people ignorant of the situation need to stop posting. That would include blackace.

didnt rockstar reconfirm exclusivity a few days after. and that's what this whole thread and the TC's link is about. I'm notdebating whether it WILL be exclusive or not anymore, i reckon it'll be timed. I'm more curious as to what rockstar's latest words on the issue are, considering this other unveiledrockstar games exclusive ps3 game

It's exclusive to the PS3.
That was the deal
Sorry, but you're wrong.
The main motavation for Devs to support the PS systems and grace them with exclusives is that Sony really does work well with devs. MS is kind of offish to devs from what i hear, nintendo obviously has great 1st party titles and devs dont want to compete. But Sony, they offer great support (edge is the latest sign of this) the internal devs also share some inside secrets. Basically devs find it very enjoyabe to work with Sony, and this shows in the past 2 gens. :DWow, first mysterious Title, now LA Noire going exclusive?

It was developed exclusively for PS3 for two years or whatever, there's your reason for why it's gonna be an exclusive. They could eventually port it but I wouldn't count on it.

Well, at least you got that one right, probably.
L.A. Noire = a jeux noir taking place in LA during the 40's...or 50's.
At least I think that's French for game.
