L.A Norie PC going to be a good port say Rockstar!++++

Don't know if this is old but when la norie was annouced for PC everyones first thought was crap port!

but but but.....

After Red Dead Redemption failed to make an appearance on PCs, computerologists may have worried that Rockstar had abandoned the platform entirely, in favor of totally wimpy consoles. But the publisher just announced that Team Bondi's L.A. Noire "will be arriving this fall for the PC" with porting being handled by Grand Theft Auto Stories-developer Rockstar Leeds.

Okay, so Rockstar hasn't abandoned the platform, but what about the performance issues that plagued the initial PC release of Grand Theft Auto IV? The press release promises that not only will the PC release feature 3D support and "improved graphical enhancements" but it will "run on a wide range of PCs" – naturally, we'll wait until its release, when PC gamers will inevitably assault the game with every hardware permutation imaginable while clinically taking frame rate readings every 15 seconds.

As long as R* Toronto stay away from any PC port then I'll be happy.

I'm happy just to see another rockstar game on PC. Yeah, GTA IV had some issues, but they got ironed out quickly, and mod teams made it one of the prettiest games around

They were saying the exact same things about GTA IV though. I don't know, this studio, they only did PSP games. I expect another Saints Row II.

They were saying the exact same things about GTA IV though. I don't know, this studio, they only did PSP games. I expect another Saints Row II.

I know it was. I've played it, beaten it, and got most of the trophys so far. The main problem was some inconsistencies, random plot twists and turns, and the horrible ending. The lack of interactivity with the whole world was a bit disappointing too. The game was still a lot of fun though unlike the drop-dead boring RDR. Didn't want to believe it, but it really just is GTA with horses.

Horrible? Almost everyone I know who has played it says it was "brilliant", with lots of reviewers saying it was great (though GI said it would leave players mixed).

I haven't beaten it so don't spoil, but I do have a vague idea thanks to some idiot gamespot user who decided to spoil it on the thread title (that was for some reason undeleted for a full several minutes).

it ran like crap on the 360 so i can hope they do a better job with the port although i wont hold my breath after gta iv.

also i think fellow pc gamers who havent played it might be disappointed when they realise most of the "gameplay" constitutes of walking round a room until the joypad vibrates and interrogation sequences that essentially boil down to a guessing game of what was the developer thinking at the time. oh and driving from location to location.
