" And we will bring out games like Lair, which is a 25GB game "
Is this mean the size of the game ? or the blu-ray size ?
mohammadnb
I think it would be the size of the disk, not the game, by the looks of it lair uses the same texture for almost all the environments.
its the size of the game, the disc is 50gb
i dont get how people think dvd's are gonna compete 1-2 years from now, eventually you're gonna compress something as much as you can, games are NOT gonna stay within 9gb of space, thats 360's main fault imo other then its ring of death stuff
Wasn't it Jack Tretton who also claimed that the E3 2006 Killzone 2 footage was of gameplay? I wouldn't trust that man's words as far as I could throw him. Anyways, even if it is 25GB, uncompressed data will do that.foxhound_fox
That's him, he was also the guy that said he would give $1200 to anyone who could find a PS3 on store shelves.

Well then...
Doesn't he owe the guys at Ctrl-Alt-Del something along the lines of $13,000 dollars?foxhound_fox
Oh I'm sure he owes pretty much everyone on the internet a couple thousand dollars, myself included.
[QUOTE="TyrantDragon55"]I wonder how big it is compressed.Blinblingthing
WHy would we want that?
Just thought I'd bring it up before the "Blu-ray is needed!"arguments start.

That depends on how and how much you want to compress it. But as Kojima has stated several times, ones you start going with uncompressed sound, the 50 GB Blu-Rays fill up faster than Nintendos pockets after the Wii.

Thing is, most people cannot tell the difference between compressed and uncompressed sound.
