Last Gen Console Availability

Out of curiosity has anyone on this board had any luck finding last gen systems? Walmart, Target, GameStop, and Best Buy have no PS4's available in stock to pick up at the store in my area.

Not sure if the pandemic is to blame or not. The used Market on Marketplace and Craigslist have a lot, my local game Store does not have any current gen systems in stock however.

I've seen a few Xbox One S consoles out in the wild, so for system wars sake that means Sony Domination Continuation or something. haha

I haven't be actively looking, but I did notice that they didn't have any PS4s at a Best Buy I was in a few days ago. They had a full aisle of PS5 controllers, and a huge bin in the middle of PS4 controllers. Who the **** are going to buy those if they aren't selling consoles to go with them? The bin of PS4 controllers weren't even discounted. They go for CND$75 here. I did see Switches there, and I've seen them at Shoppers. It's a probably a combination of the pandemic and Christmas coming up, which is why they may be hard to get now.

All consoles have been hard to find during the pandemic. The only ones I’ve seen in the wild are PS4 Pros, Xbox One S and Switch Lites. And those don’t stay on the shelves very long.

I’ve seen Xbox One S and PS4’s at my local Walmart the other day.

I sold my ps4 pro for $330. Probably should've asked for more lol.

The funny thing is, it's not just last-gen consoles that are hard to find now, it's also old GPU's like the 2000 series and even 1000 series as well. When the pandemic it the world, home entertainments really skyrocket the sells, its hard to find PS4/Xbox One nowadays.

If anyone's looking for last-gen consoles, go to Pawnshops or Pawnstop.

You accidentally added a 3 right? i mean i can see someone buying it for $30, but you would have to be a few beers short of a six pack to buy one for $330.

Dunno but i sold my standard ps4 this last summer for $250CAD. Good enough i guess.

Only consoles Ive seen in stores lately is some Switch and Switch Lite. I havent seen any Playstation or Xbox of any kind in stores for months.

@i_p_daily: He's not wrong, last gen consoles are holding their value. The used market in my area ps4's are priced at lowest $250 at stores, then on Marketplace and Craigslist it's well over $300. There are usually games and controllers bundled in though.

I've never seen this before. Typically the previous gen console prices tank when the new ones release, but the pandemic has caused a huge increase in home entertainment spending.

PS3 controllers in my area are hard to come by and can be pricy. Authentic ones anyway, for some reason after market ps3 controllers have flooded the market.

Only poor scum want old consoles. PS5 is the premium experience.
