Last gen nicknames don't apply to this gen AT ALL. Can we finally switch them?

Last gen the nicknames applied:

Cows: Sony fans were cows getting milked for every little thing such as multi-tap for 4 player, HDD, network adapter etc

Sheep: Nintendo fans were blind sheep being lied to(aka herded) by Nintendo about getting a steady flow of good games, third party support, and online.

Lemmings: Microsoft fans were western-style gamers who would rather commit suicide like a lemming then sit through Japanese RPGs and anime-influenced adventure games.

Things have DEFINATELY switched this gen:

Cows: If anything, 360 fans have been the real cows being milked for XBL, Wi-fi, charging stations for wireless controllers, HD-DVD(before it failed), etc.

Sheep: PS3 fanboys arent cows since most things don't cost extra. If anything PS3 fans are sheep for putting up with Sony's lack of good games during the first few years of the PS3. Also for putting up with them hyping horrible games like Lair and Haze in the meentime. "YOU SONY SHEEP!"

Lemmings: And Nintendo fans are real lemmings, who would rather kill themselves than admit that the Wii is garbage. All they care about is their Mario, Zelda, and Metroid games... and if Nintendo stops giving it to them, they'll commit suicide before becomming Microsoft or Sony fanboys.

Personally I dont even look at the meaning behind it nemore. Its just a way of identifying someone based on their prefernce.EVOLV3

There's no need to change the names, they all basically mean the same thing anyway. Plus, what about the people with "cow" or "lemmings" in their usernames? Or the fanboy unions! THINK OF THE FANBOY UNIONS! :cry:

It's just silly jargon that adds some charm to the boards. And these boards are lacking charm these days. :(

No, but it sounds like the wide majority of Gamespot users altogether are sick of them and I DEFINATELY would expect things to change if the majority rules them to.

Read up for examples of the majority of people being sick of them. (^ just look that way if you dont know your directions yet buddy)

I don't think the term Lemmings has anything to do with killing oneself. Rather it has more to do with blindly following whatever your console manufacturer says or does.BumFluff122

PS3 controllers dont require AA batteries or charging stations like 360 controllers, headsets come with Socom and Warhawk for free, GT5p is a feature-rich prologue to a game to hold people over not a demo, PS3 came with blu-ray built in so even if it failed(which it didnt) people who bought it wouldn't be stuck with useless peripheral disc drives they payed $200 for like the 360 HDDVD drive.wagexslave

No. and I wish people would stop trying to change them. The nicknames are anymore or less accurate than they ever were.
