Well I sure hope they use the part of the White Engine that has Anti-Aliasing.

I would assume to keep it easy to develop for both the 360 and PS3 at the same time. Both using the same engine that is already working on both consoles seems like it would cut down on costs. Just a guess.

Bout time SE showed the 360 some love. Despite some of the low res textures in those screenshots, it still looks very promising. I cannot wait for this game, as I have recently become a SE fan (Just beat FF XII and FF III, playing FF IV and VII).

I just hope they fix it for the PS3...every multiplat game I have seen, it seems the PS3 has a lot more jaggies than its 360 counterpart....Not overwhelming, and probably wont notice it unless playing it side by side, but just knowing its there...

And we all know, knowing is half the battle

Actually the game will be built around the superior PS3 and then ported to the inferior 360... just like UT3. Games built specifically for the PS3 have already proven to be more impressive... particularly when there is a lot of onscreen action. Just get over it.

Just like Colin ? OR assaisns Creed ? We STILL have not seen anything of the PS3 version for those games, BTW when did you see PS3 UT3 pics ? There is NONE !!! And games like Lair and Heavely Sword are SO BAD LOOKING, that can't even come miles close to Kameo, a.... launch ... 360 game !!!! So, games made ground up for PS3 then ported to 360 will always look like garbage, that is why ALL developers so far make 360 version first, then cut back for PS3

Assains Creed (Only 360 version shown)

Colin DIRT (months later for PS3)

Splinter Cell 4 (cut back totally)

Oblivion (cut back on texture resolution, AA, HDR)

Enchanted Amrs (i will not describe what was chped off that game for PS3, textures and geometry gone)

and the list will go on until the PS4 and xbox 720

College Hoops 2k7 scored higher on the PS3.

I finally found a thread that everyone seemed to shwo some love for each other and then one post degenerates it another round of forum fisticuffs.

 

The game itself sounds like it could have some really cool ideas behind. Although the screenies are jaggy as all hell I can get over it if the games good enough.

1) The only version of UT3 shown so far is the PC version. They're developing it for the PC first, then porting to the PS3 and 360. 2) The first DEMO of Assassin's Creed was the 360 version. For the PS3 version we only got publicity screens. 3) The PS3 version also had almost a full year's worth of additional work done on it. 4) Enchanted Arms never looked very good to begin with. 5) DIdn't Armored Core flop? 6) Again, College Hoops 2k7 for the 360 came out before the PS3 version. And anyway, the only difference in the score between the two was "Value." 7) NGS? You must be joking. It's a great looking game, but its textures aren't nearly as detailed as FFXIII or Lair or whatnot. You could've chosen a much better looking game. As for Lair, we'll see.

- You probably forget that no matter how much time they have with UE3.0, the development on 360 will be one step (or a hundred steps) ahead, because they have the engine running on 360 for a year now !!! Far more than on PS3, and frankly yes i missed that teamxbox article, have you got link ? And are you 100% sure they have PS3 pics in it ?

- Oblivion has better AF and some textures on PS3, but that is where it ends, it has no AA, worst HDR, far worst colors, some textures are lower resolution, and there are some worst frame rate drops not due to loading, now how is that ... better is beyond me, at best a tie, and i would give anything for the 360 vivid colors and smooth grass with the AA

- Now to the parallel universe you visited, obviously X06 there was a PS3 show, because the ONLY real time footage we ever saw was in X06 and from 360, it is even in the marketplace and i happen to HAVE IT !!!

- Armored Core 4 looks WAY better on 360, bad for you that i have seen the comparisson videos

- College Hoops ??? Oh THAT scored higher !!! I am happy about that stunning PS3 victory, really

- As for Lair and Heavely Sword, the textures and shaders in Kameo are simply 10x better, same with the REALLY interactive water, the grass/trees, well everything !!!! A small taste here

 

- For NGS, it looks a bit better than NGBlack on 360, there were like 10 threads on how dissapointing it was, and is far worst than Kameo or Gears too, it is a last gen game, no details etc around, with a next gen coating, nothing more

- Fot GTA you probably missed the part that they say they STRUGGLE to make the game for PS3 too, not only that have problems with the 360 !!! Selective reading anyone ?

- Of course i forgot before Fear with the 10x lower textures and AA on PS3, and Splinter Cell 4, now that was the worst case, shaders totally gone, that takes the crown of downgrade

Final Words, if Lost Remnant is made for PS3 first, i might as well not buy the game, it will simply look nothing like 360 has set as standard with Kameo, Gears, Viva Pinata, Splinter Cell 4  etc

Actually the game will be built around the superior PS3 and then ported to the inferior 360... just like UT3. Games built specifically for the PS3 have already proven to be more impressive... particularly when there is a lot of onscreen action. Just get over it.

Just like Colin ? OR assaisns Creed ? We STILL have not seen anything of the PS3 version for those games, BTW when did you see PS3 UT3 pics ? There is NONE !!! Enchanted Amrs (i will not describe what was chped off that game for PS3, textures and geometry gone)

and the list will go on until the PS4 and xbox 720

UT3 was demoed on the PS3 to teamxbox.. 

With that said, and with the lack of a playable Unreal Tournament 3 for the Xbox 360 floating about, we took the time to visit our competition's booth at GDC. Sony's booth was bustling with activity, as those unfamiliar with the PS3 wanted to try out the few demos that the electronics giant had playable in their plush nook of the Moscone Center. One of these playables was, of course, Unreal Tournament 3, but at this time, we'll just call it "Unreal Engine 3.0 Demo" as it was labeled.

If it isn't clear to you yet, we'll spell it out to you in plain terms: this is a hands-on assessment of the PS3 version of Unreal Tournament 3via an Unreal 3.0 tech demo. And no, we haven't forgotten that we are an Xbox site, so don't send us hate mail to remind us. Our bet is that Unreal Tournament 3 for the Xbox 360 will be enough like this demo running on the PS3 to make the fifteen in enemy territory time well spent.

You guys do realize that this game is developed for both systems at the time. There is no need to downport or to port the game. They will utilize both consoles the best way that they can and I think both versions will look nearly identical. So what's all the fuzz about?

PS: Dear Greg, I don't know what Sony did to you, but when I see you putting so much energy into your crusade against them, I'm sure it has been something very ugly...

PS3 is harder to make the games look like on 360, as obvious by the simple fact that only 360 versions are shown or are ready in most if not all coming games, meaning clearly that after the 360 version is out,and obviously have not got years more to make the PS3 version right, they will definatly have to rush PS3 versions so they are out at some point close to 360 version

For example, Colin for PS3 will come months later, and if they wanted it to come with 360, they would have to cut back everything to make it run on PS3

Greg. If Remnant would be only PS3 and would be ported to the 360 it would look bader. If Remnant would be only X360 and would be ported to the PS3 it would look bader. But the game is developed for both at the same time! So they do have the possiblity to design it with both systems in mind...
