Anyone else notice the ground and the guard raid are 2d in the first pic? I mean the cars look good, but that's just going to look weird if I have to slow down.

For a game that has been in development for as long as GT5, and with all the hype surrounding its visuals, I am underwhelmed. Guess that makes me a PS3 hater too :roll:

I am pretty sure there was another, newer demo released very recently... and was incredibly lacklustre graphically. which was a old build and only took up 250mb
...and? It is still a "demonstration" of the final product that the developer released to the public. It was meant to show us what they are working on, and what to expect.

Maxed out PC DX11 Dirt 2? I highly doubt that. The PS3 isn't a "supercomputer" and can't do "4D dual-1080p @ 120fps." What does that have to do with anything, PD has put considerable effort into making this game look stunning. Which it does, if the trailers are any indication no racing game right now looks as good.

Well it is easy to fool people in the graphics area when they only release gameplay only like once a year and all people ever look at is bull shots. They rare times they do you have the fanboys screaming bu.bu.but it a unnreleased game.

GT5 has soe mince looking models, but without a hud, those can easily be generated models, and they wouldnt look like that in game necessarily, especially when AA is such a hog on ps3. Also, why so long of a wait!? it's a racing game, not a complex story driven, RPG with shooter elements involivng massive accuracies and such. It's a sim! If GT5 doesn't have breakable railings, awesome DIRT2 looking water and smoke, and physics that rival real life, it's not worth the wait!
Sweetness like the cool breeze of the wind through my hair on a wild ride through the tracks of FM 2 & 3 with the top down... some day when GT5, the full game actually hits the street, it's gonna be great to see if GT5 can compete - can't wait. :P

Trailers of what, replay footage or actual gameplay? I have yet to see any direct-feed gameplay trailers (from Polyphony) that aren't touched up through the replay-mode.

Actually, he's right. Those shots really aren't spectacular in any way...Can you produce better looking FM3 pics please? I never mentioned FM3. I'm just saying that the graphics are nothing mind blowing... Dirt 2 looks better.
