2 weeks ago the Wii sales decresed to this, and then shot back up, and now are back down. My guess is unit contraints, because it really doesn't make sense for a system to sell 30,000 less one week, shoot back up, and then drop again.

Nope, Wii units are being diverted from Japan to North America. That may be why it beat the DS in last month's NPD. I guess we'll have to wait until the August NPD to see if my claim is correct.

you can tell from this chart that when supply catches up the Wii has a good week, but then goes back down the week or two after.
