Good game. Bloober does good things sometimes. Worth another go if you're into it.

I'd love a reason to revisit these, I'd love to support Blooper as I see them as an underdog developer. They've definitely struggled achieving stable performance in their games in past, but they've been improving, bit by bit. The first Layers of Fear game was just so horribly unoptimized on everything it was on, but I enjoyed it. And I loved Observer so Blooper definitely captured my attention after that.

On another note, it's supposed to be among the first notable UE5 releases slated in near future. So, will be worth checking out as a sort of tech demo at very least, and a peak into what to expect from these devs who will be releasing the upcoming Silent Hill 2 remake. So, plenty of reason I'll be checking it out.

Probably won't happen with their hands full, but I'd love to see what they could do with updating Observer to run in UE5, I'd so shamelessly buy another remake of a remake.

Nobody else has anything to say about this?! These are the people making the Silent Hill 2 Remake!

Played the original LOF all the way through and it was nothing special. An ok story paired with uninspired gameplay. The loop is walking -> reading some journal entry -> opening empty drawers -> cheap jumpscare -> (repeat).

Never played the original, but might give this one a shot.

Yeah, not really surprising. It wasn't exactly a blockbuster. Personally I thought the atmosphere and story were top-notch. And like you said, UE5 is obviously notable here.

It's a walking simulator, more or less. Don't know what you expected.

It was a boring walking simulator that I did not finish. None of it was spooky or scary.

At one point in the game, as you’re walking through a hallway, the hall starts to become distorted, and you hear noises from behind you. The game obviously wants you to turn around and look to see something behind you. I was so bored that I just kept walking in that slow manner that your character walks, and I entered the next room. After that, I had to stop playing. So, so boring. Boring game gets good graphics.

@The_Deepblue: Definitely requires you to provide your own imagination. But for those with strong imaginations, it's really creepy.
