LittleBigPlanet is going to be the biggest flop ever.Stage building is fun if it's a bonus feature in a game, like Brawl or Tony Hawk. But to make a whole game out of it? No way. First off you're stuck with Sackboy's gameplay, and then there is no story/objectives...AHUGECAT
since when does a game need a story to be good?

In Mario you progress through several worlds... in this game you create a level, hoping it will be good, and play through it with Sackboy's gameplay (slow and boring, basically). This would be fun if it was a BONUS feature to the game, but not as the main selling point. Stage editors are fun, but without the single/multi player story mode, like in Tony Hawk and Brawl, it will be bland and boring after a week.

yeah, im sure a man with a mario avatar should know the little italian racial steriotype tends to forgo the story elements and when they are there they tend to make you cringe. there is really no NEED for a story with a game of this type.

LittleBigPlanet has a story as well as "objectives." This has been confirmed by Media Molecule several times. You fail.

so true. MGS4 proves you could still have a crap story for a major release and still score higher then many other games that are far better in EVERY aspect.

*sigh* It DOES have single player with a story. I think I heard a number around 50 levels. Educate yourself before you post.

50 PRE-MADE levels with boring gameplay...
Media Molecule had the right idea with LPB, but they need Nintendo for better execution.

I doubt it will be boring with 3 friends. And I guess Mario is terribly exciting what with jumping on things and breaking blocks with your head?
And they should have gone to Nintendo? LMAO If LBP was on the wii it would be a shadow of what it is now. Not just graphics but I would love to see wii pull off those physics, store all that content on a "wii optical disc", not to mention where youre supposed to store all of those custom made levels.
Why would MM go to a company thats stuck on repeat to help them out with a fresh game? Your logic fails.

Did you see the Super Mario Bros. remake in this game? I have never seen more boring/lame gameplay in my life.
Stage editing is cool, but as I said, it should be a bonus feature. An entire game should not be built around it.
LBP fails.

Dis you know that he had the game for like... 3 days?
And did you also know that because an user doesnt execute a good remake level of a game, the whole game fails?
Wow, you fail on so many levels, >9000 for sure.

There is a story. It is speculated that you save a baby meerkat in peril and return it to its mommy.

Um the remake itself wasn't bad. It was the gameplay that made it look boring.

the game has a campaign with tonnes of single player levels
wow you people are haters. if lbp had been on the 360 it would the best thing eversireclabornif it was a 360 exclusive i would be embarassed to have a 360.

I haven't played those but we're talking about MGS4, not the entire saga.
you fan boys are so obviously jealous.. if you really didnt care about LBP then why put all this time and energy into saying its going to flop.. why wouldnt you just pass by this thread and not comment? Hmmmm. I wonder.Abicus7why do cows have to make a new thread every hour? You're only asking for a backlash when half the threads on the first page is "OMFG LBP IS THE BIGGEST THING EVAR!"

And there it is. With MGS4's story, it's hard NOT to talk about the series as a whole.

AHUGECAT
You keep saying this. "Boring gameplay". Why do you think that? I haven't seen a single impression from anyone who has had hands-on time with the game that supports this assumption. And now that people have beta keys, the claim that it's just biased members of the press seems much less valid.
If you're just going off of the poor, rough remake of Super Mario Bros 1-1, you're doing yourself a disservice.
Now I wonder if you have played MGS1, 2, 3 and Portable Ops. Im sure youll say yes anyways but I would find strange that someone who played all MGS saga can say the story isnt special.

Having played MGS2 and 3, I found MGS4's story poor by comparison. It was all over the place in its efforts to end every single plot thread in the entire series, and as a result, it wasn't able to effectively develop on the themes it introduced. It just felt bloated.
That's just me, though.
