i would assume that the least favorite console would be the one you dont get.. for example i didnt get a Wiicause am not interested in the majority ofitsexclusives + i found its hardware a bit too much inferior... However i got the PS3 & 360 and though i do game more on PS3 i enjoy both systems & their exclusives..
Same for handhelds i got the PSP since i am not interested much in the DS games library..
Depends on the Year.
I love all my consoles, BUT if I had to say my least favorite, it would be by year :
2007 : PS3
2008 : Wii
2009 : 360
The reason why :
2007 = The PS3 came out the gate, but I didn't play it as much as my 360 or Wii, at first, but I tried. It was a fantastic Multimedia machine, but the PS3 didn't deliver as many wow gaming moments as the competition did that year...of course, it was the PS3's first year, but that's the facts, jack.
2008 = The Wii started off great that year, but then Nintendo shifted it's focus to the nongaming market, and I found myself playing more 360/PS3.
2009 = M$ dropping most of it's 1st Parties finally caught up this year, and I felt it big time. Say what you want about Multiplats, but the lack of killer 1st party games has been forcing me to play 2008 games like Gears of War II for my 360, almost a full year later.
Last year, both companies tried hard. In 2008, while the PS3 released games like MGS4, LBP, and Resistance 2 last year to counter 360's Fable II, Banjo, and GeoW2.
This year, we 360 got A Ninja Blade and 6.5 Halo Wars to counter AAA Infamous and AAA Killzone 2. It's just been a rough patch if you ask me. We still have Forza and Halo 3 ODST, but for PS3 we still have Ratchet and Uncharted 2. The lack of 1st parties strength has caught up to the 360 this year.
The 360's been on cruise control this whole year, but NEXT year looks to change that. Still, I'm being honest.
Hope that's a fair reason why.
Still, I look forward to the rest of this year, to see if I change my mind! :)
PS3. Its a nice console but probably the most overrated ever. Same graphics as the 360 and far smaller lineup. Still everyone thinks its a super powerfull computer with the best lineup of exclusives ever :?
PAL360
Xbox 360. Damn RROD.
The Wii. It just sits there and does nothing.. I love my PS3 and 360 but after SSB Brawl came out and didn't deliver, I have no game to go back and replay.

Maybe you should attempt CPR?
XBOX360. I would certainly get it if I could, since I would love to play every game that interested me, but the 360 so far has the fewest interesting titles. Not that I have anything against it personally.
least favourite, but still a favourite :P It has to be the 360 for a number of reasons...
I would say the PS3...It has the least number of exclusives which I have wanted. Then when I have bought ones thinking I would like them I didn't Warhawk, RFOM, and Motorstorm. Where all disappointments. HarlockJCHave to agree with you there, people hate on the Wii (yes as a stand alone console it is unbareable) but it does provide you with software unlike any of the other systems. I have yet to see anything exclusive to the PS3 that compells me to buy it short of the R&C games which i was already a huge fan of.
[QUOTE="RedruM_I"]360, it's from Microsoft... yuck!HarlockJCReal good reason there. One of the main companies responsible for moving computers forward in the last 10 years and you have a hate for them. May I ask what MS did? How did MS moved computers forward? If anything they have kept the home pc world from advancing and showing its true potential by monopolizing the whole market.
XBOX 360. Because it lacks anything innovative over the PC.
It is still a great system, especially for people who don't or can't do the whole money burning PC thing. But as I do it does nothing for me.
Yes I know it has some great exclusives, and some games work better on it. But they tend not to be my thing.
PS3 offers something for the living room to me. Blu-Ray especially.
And the Wii is my darling as I find motion and pointer controls more PC like, but it is a far more social system than the PC in general gaming terms. It is also is doing well in hardcore oldskool titles (VC and WiiWare), has co-op rail shooters which I love and brings me and the other half together to game.
The Wii is the only answer for this thread. XBOX 360 and PS3 at least have some cool games and features while Wii has ZERO!

There is a reason why they monopolize the market it's because they offer a product that is better than anyone elses. Sorry Red Hat is no where near has good as Windows XP. Also I have been using computers before Windows came out. Windows has made life much simpler.
You do know in terms of quality games this year all three systems have been about the same with a 2% difference. Then it comes down to choice in games. So you can't really say the Wii when most the games are AA+ are exclusive to the Wii. Which people like myself which do have all three systems still find more games they want on the Wii compared to the other two systems this year. The Wii is the only answer for this thread. No they monopolize the market because they are very good at doing business and they use pretty questionable practices too.
I've been using linux and BSD (Debian, Ubuntu, Red Hat, Fedora, FreeBSD) since three years now and all those OSs do everything better than windows (except some hardware support but that is a fault of the hardware vendors and not linux or BSD). Having an open OS is something that gives a lot of benefits and the system is inherently better made too. No Windows machine can last 1 year running all the time because the system's poor memory handling and register configuration sucks. You can leave a linux or BSD on for years and they wouldn't suffer any drop in performace (as long as it isn't hardware related). That's why most companies, governments and institutions almost exclusively use Unix systems like these on their servers. Security is another thing that Windows has nothing in favor of the others, I've never even used an antivirus program the whole time I've been using these OSs, with Windows that's impossible. Also, I work with computers on a computer lab and I've never had to use a Windows program, there is an open alternative for almost everything in Windows. So yeah, Windows sucks in almost everyway compared to linux and other Unix-based systems.
I would say the Wii. Despite being the only console to have most party games and local multiplayer, quality IMO is just too few there. It has gotten my attention many times but there has not been something grab me and keep me there. The graphics limitation has also influenced and affected its artistic direction with its games in a negative way. Its nevertheless a console for many but sadly not for me.
No Windows machine can last 1 year running all the time because the system's poor memory handling and register configuration sucks. RedruM_IFunny I have had my PC on almost non stop for 3 years running windows. Must be a fluke. The reason why more people like other OS for security reasons is because most virus target Windows because it has something like 90% of the market. So it's a given that for security reasons you would want something else. You named reasons why you don't like Windows which after having used Red Hat for 6 months I don't see why you would like it better than Windows. This is still not a reason not to like MS. It sounds more like I will not support the big business thing to me.

It sounds more like I will not support the big business thing to me. You had Windows running 3 years without having to reboot your computer? That's practically impossible. Even for system updates you would have to reboot every time. The way Windows uses memory and the register makes it lag pretty quickly. No way you can do that without having to reboot. With Linux that's possible, even for most updates you don't need to reboot. You are right most hackers aim at Windows but still having an open OS makes it easier to deal with security risks. In linux you are in control of every level of security while that's not true in Windows. Most people who complain about Linux didn't take the time to learn it well. Of course it's going to take time to get used to a different OS but it's worth it IMO, anything is worthy if you get rid of Windows in the end. I have nothing against big business. I support companies like Sony don't I? I have a problem when big businesses use their power to manipulate the market and release crappy products.
i guess that would be the ps3...almost doesnt even feel like a sony console when comparing its current library to the ps1's and ps2's in this point in time of their lifespans
Same hereThe Wii simply for the fact that their library is very limited in terms of my gaming needs.
-DarthMaul-
Xbox 360 by a long shot.
I probably missed some stuff...
Out of the consoles I personally own, its probably the Wii. For me it just doesn't have enough quality games, the only game I have found compelling enough to finish was SMG. The only time it really gets turned on is when family come round and we mess about with Wii Sports.
