I had originally estimated 8.0 and knew it would be knocked down for being too short. I was almost verbally assaulted by saying that, but we all know how things turned out.
I figured it would be a great co-op game , but I could tell people were making it out to be more than what it is. I think it being a Valve game had a lot to do with the overhyping , I didn't see too many hype threads that didn't mention Valve this , or Valve that.The "Dude , it's Valve , nuff said" hive mentality was strong.

Yeah. Counter Strike is still the most played PC FPS but even that didn't score AAA. That and the fact people obsess over zombies for some reason :?

Also, those down on the game because of the 8.5 need to shut up and ignore the score, while experiencing the game for themselves. Hell, play Versus mode with 7 other buddies. It is the most intense and enjoyable multiplayer experience I had in a game...ever.
Flop. But I kinda expected it. Sounds like if you got buddies, it's tons of fun. I'll probably wait 'till I'm done with Resistance 2 & Gears 2. Maybe ask for it for Christmas
all of my damn friends said they would get it first day. instead, only one does. and that one friends doesn't like being a survivor, so all he does is versus.....I WANNA SEE THE OTHER LEVELS. damn man, the game is crazy replayable but only granted you don't do the same level over and over and over again. I mean, you have to mix it up to keep it fresh (all we ever f'ing do is blood harvest). now i'm stucking playing with this guy and complete strangers, which isn't nearly as much fun as it would be playing with 3 good friends (as i did during the demo)
the demo rocked cause i was with all of my friends, but until my friends get off their asses and buy it (they all have the money, they just keep making up excuses to why they don't just go out and buy it) the game is gonna get boring for me fast
Very good score for a game that I wasn't really interesting in to start with but now I am sort of rethinking me option after this score. I might have to rent it first from a friend or a store to see if this is my type of game before I make my purchase. Even if this is a flop, don't really know what the hype was for this game, it is certainly be on my list of potential buy.

Counter Strike was in the unique situation of being a free mod that was converted into a paid game...that and the fact that a lot of its popularity comes from its mod community.
Pretty sure this is a flop (on the 360). The hype level has been at least AAA, at least with all the praise the game's been getting. And to think with all that praise, R2 score higher...

Well my point was that just because it's Valve doesnt mean it's AAA. And as much as people love the Valve game, doesnt mean it's AAA either
It's a flop because it was basically hyped AAA and scored less than AAA here. Have you been on system wars for like 2 days or do you simply not know how it works?Â

It made me switch for some odd reason. And we did....ok.I had to leave because of my sister!!! Grrrrr.....but while it lasted, it was a good game...Zombie team owned Survivor team in the first chapter of No Mercy xD
