Compared to this, to those that haven't played the game actually watch the whole vid.

[QUOTE="ShadowsDemon"]Dead Island is brutal, but boring as hell. L4D2 is alright, but only with mates.sts106matI am about 6 hours into dead island and really enjoying it so far, it is very different from left 4 dead in my opinion. It is different...very different. I just got bored of running around doing nothing. But dismembering the zombies was awesome though. :D
Both are good games, L4D is far from terrible and is much more refined than Dead Island.
To me a sign of a good co-op game is one that you can keep playing over again and still be entertained. Personally I lost interest in Dead Island in the 2nd Act (the town part, too many underground sewerage crawls), L4D1/2 I play a lot with friends and it keeps me on the edge of my seat every time.

Left 4 Dead 1- one of the best co-op shooters I've played
Dead Island- had potential but 3-4 years of delaying it did not help (decent game though)
Left 4 Dead 2- did not care for it at all, should of just been free dlc for L4D 1.
I like open world games. I found DI to be boring because of the mundane quests. Also gamers who find Dead Island to be boring must love linear run from point A-B kind of games like Left 4 Dead, Dead Island gives you an entire island to explore not just a narrow L4D map.

L4D is a co-op game that gives you and a group of friends a situation to work together and survive through. Its a game about team work, developing strategies and replaying the maps to improve your game. No other game has given me and my mates so many "Oh crap!!" moments and L4D.
AND THEN you have the VS multiplayer where you can play as the Zombies, which brings a whole new level of team work to both sides.
L4D is one of the finest co-op games around I say. Along with Borderlands and Doom.
It's the SW.What's up with all these hate/dickriding threads about Left 4 Dead as of late?

the only thing remotely alike about L4D and Dead Island is that they both have zombies and you play from a first person perspective..... hardly enough to make them comparable.
I like both games, neither are perfect.... both have very likable things about them.
