1. Difficulty settings. Yeah, I know you can make the game more difficult by not getting heart containers. But what about for completionists who want everything the game offers AND want more difficulty?
2. Be able to put on different tunic/armor using a hotkey button. It is getting really old having to press start, go into a menu, enable different tunic, exit the start menu, then finally continue on with the game. This could easily be corrected with hotkeys.
3. Bring back magic spells. Ocarina of Time had some magic. Twilight Princess had none. Magic spells to enchant your sword, run faster, etc.
4. Bring back hover boots but make it more interesting. Have 3 different "levels" set for hover boots. When you first get hover boots, they won't allow you to hover very long. Then you have to find an item that allows hover for longer, allowing you to reach new areas. Then another item that allows hover for even longer.
5. Bring back bombchus. Bombchus would be different in that you can control every aspect of where the bomb travels. Allow the player to change to 1st person mode for this when needed. New, unique puzzles could be built around this.
6. Allow every cutscene to be skippable. If someone really liked Twilight Princess, and was on their 5th playthrough, then why should that person have to watch unskippable cutscenes again? Why isn't every cutscene skippable? A majority of cutscenes in TP are skippable, but every one should be skippable in the next Zelda game.
7. Voice acting for non-playable characters.
8. Orchestrated music.
