So who gets #1, PC?
I guess sheep should quiet down about sales, cuz I think the PC sells more across the world.
1. PC
2. Wii
3. 360
4. PS3
WHO WILL WIN THE BATTLE FOR 3RD PLACE??? only time will tell. how exhilarating! :|

Yet you keep coming back... hmmm
I am a PC gamer first and foremost but it really does not belong in SW. How many high end video cards are sold and installed? Like the cards that are at least 200 bills?
Because the vast majority of PC's will be sold as something other then a primary gaming machine.
SW should be about consoles IMO. Even though I love my PC. But sheesh, how many console gamers are in here posting on something other then a PC? I doubt there would be more then a tiny handful.
The only people that bring pc into the race are hermits...I dont think anyone else cares what they do or accomplish. So sure. 360 fans and sony fans are fighting for second...But How I see it, I dont consider wii a part of the race either. Its probably because alot of its owners are casuals. I probably shouldnt say that but thats how I see it. Technically, they are fighting for second in the console wars but I consider it 1st with 2 place options.
They see each other as in the most direct sort of competition I guess. Danm_999
If either MS or Sony were not in the console war and cannibalizing each other over the same demographic I would not be shocked to see either machine, free of its direct competition, with a larger install base then the Wii.

PCs the #1 gaming platform? You can't actually determine how many of the people use their PCs for gaming, and how many use theirs just for basic home needs (internet, typing, finances, educational, home office) where their model is too low end for modern games on even medium settings.AdobeArtist
Ok,
The PC has the most AAAE and AAE games. Is that better?

I agree. Save for the fact we must except the Wii. Weather we see it as in direct competition or not.
But hermits definitely just forced their way into SW, and do not really belong here.
At least there should be ATI vs. Nvidia faction or something.
But hermits are best left ingored.

We can't know the exact number, sure, but all the data tells us its much bigger than any console.
It's estimated at 263 million PC gamers globally.

No. Because define when your last generation of PC started?
So the PS brand and Ninty can include all the systems going back to the nes days?
If thats the case you need to include Ninty and Sony and the XBox for the entire life of their brand. Not just the current consoles.

You don't see how it might be relevent on a forum where the pros and cons of each system of gaming are discussed?

That is certainly not representing anyone on this board since Im sure all the nintendo fans love the hell out of it. But Im pretty sure most people use it as a secondary console at best if they have more than just a wii. Again, that doesnt go for the die hard nintendo fans. Yeah, I ignored your point, because it was stupid.
You were basically arguing on a forum dedicated to the pros and cons of certain forms of gaming we should only allow discussion of the two least popular platforms (I'm guessing because you own one of those platforms).
Unfortunately for you, this doesn't make sense logically, nor is it what the people in System Wars has agreed upon.

Yes, workstation GPUs are taken into account when they track these things. Your not helping your argument here.

You can acuse me of that but its just not true. I always fall back on my PC. Three of my 5 favorite games of all time are on the PC. And I can not even stomach playing FPS on consoles, I have to play them on the PC.
But I am not a hermit. I like both my PC and consoles. But if I had to choose one and live on a desert island I would take my PC any day.
In fact, out of the last 6 years I have played my PC three or four times more then all my consoles combined.
From the original CoD (favorite shooter of all time) to Sins of a Solar Empire. Even games like Homeworld 2 and Titan Quest. Just recently I blew a fan out on my video card and I wanted to cry. Every four to five years I will build a new rig and I am do this fall. I will spend about 1200 dollars on my PC. And that is if I dont purchase a new monitor.
But my MMO addiction alone ( witch is now thankfully over) secured the PC as my main platform for the better part of the last decade.

And as I said, I totally accept he was correct. But no, I do not check the list of AAA games for each platform ever, not even occasionally. The only time I see them is heaer in SW, so I said post them.
I do not even bother to blog and the only game I have ever rated was out of curiosity.
You are just ticked because I think you have zero clue how do distinguish personnel preference from critical merit, witch is true.
I rated one game half assed and did not even bother to write anything about. I never bicker about what a game gets reviewed as. I only argue wit the want to be game critics about reviews.

Its used for way more than gaming. I consider it a computer first and a gaming machine second. Thats just the way I look at it regardless.
'The wii is crushing the 360 and PS3, we had better pretend that doesn't exist also!'
How I see it, its just not the same as gamcube. If it still had a decent hardcore side to it like gamecube or n64 then sure I would include it. How many of its games are shovelware? 69% according to gameinformer I think. And Im just going off of my friends here(we used to be big nintendo fans btw) but its just not really good for a console purchase unless you like the oldschool games which have been around since b.c....and so many of its games are just horsewash and cashins. They dont do anything new aside from the wiimote basically so its like, why bother?
What happens if the PS3 or 360 starts to do well?
Then they do well, period. I might poke fun since wii fans cant rag about sales but overall, its still nonexistent for me.

Your free to do that. But that doesn't mean your right.
More people consider it as a gaming machine than own consoles. GameSpot was a website founded on PC gaming.
You cannot exclude it from System Wars.

It's cute that you read my blog, but, I'm sure my posts aren't spelled that poorly.

Ahh I see. You simply choose to ignore facts that don't suit your view.
You do realise that just because you pretend things are a certain way doesn't make them correct don't you?
I could argue that the PS3 and 360 are just HD players with a bit of media center features chucked in and not proper gaming systems.
I wouldn't do that because logic dictates otherwise and it would be a stupid thing to do.
Some of you are posers and hardly play videogames.. you play sells lol..Gamersince81

Confronted with the facts. 360 degree turn for the win!
No. That is how I have always felt about the PC. I just do not think it belongs in SW. Just because its my favorite platform does not mean I think it should be here in SW.
Just because I like something the most, like a game or a platform, does not mean I confuse that with merit. I think SW should be about the console wars.
Edit: Besides, I think what you wre looking for their was a 180 degree turn. 360 degrees would put me right back where I started.
[QUOTE="Coyo7e"]You know I have never considered myself that. You just want to suggest that because that is what you like to think about yourself " witch game should I revie next guys".

It's cute that you read my blog, but, I'm sure my posts aren't spelled that poorly.
Either way, I don't consider myself a critic, just because I do a review poll as a bit of fun, and you've never read my reviews anyways, so, you have no insight either
OMG... the W was left off the review. Witch by the way is one of the keys I use most as I love FPS games. Its not uncommon for this old keyboard to lose detection on the W,A,S or D keys. Not to mention in my MMO addiction those keys were used for movement as well.
I have read your crappy reviews after you went of on a GTA 4 tangent and got owned by your own blog that you posted two days prior to the game releasing.
You always fall back on some deflection. "Why are you not playing it now then" or calling out some typo or spelling error.
I do not think you have ever made a case for anything.
