lemmings calling sony fanboys cows. HAH! (pictures)

when i first joined gamespot, i was told that sony fans were called "cows" because of all of the add-ons and accesories that sony pushed on the consumers. thus the milkage, and thus the cow.

it looks like the lemmings are contradicting themselves when they call us sony fanboys cow. micro$h!t milks you heavily, here are some things from teh 360's website:

1. a wireless network adapter that costs :shock: $100!!!  (the ps3 has built in wifi)

2. a wireless headset for xboxlive which is $60! (you can easily find a blu-tooth headset for ps3 that is less than $60)

3. a recharchable battery pack that costs $30. M$ forces this on you when it costs more to use standard AA bateries. (the ps3 controlers can attatch to the ps3 and recharge out of the box)

4. a steering wheel that costs $150 (the ps3's controlers can turn cars in game with use of the sixaxis [though i do admit a steering wheel would be more effective])

5. a camera called "vision" that costs $40 (this is a major ripoff of the "eyetoy' that was used by sony a whole generation ago)

6. an hd-dvd player that costs $200. this is the biggest milkage of them all. a dumb hddvd drive m$ put out just to counter the blu-ray player sony has out, ust so m$ doesnt seem behind technology and so they can make more $$$. this thing doesnt even play games, it just plays Hd-dvd's crappy selection of movies. (ps3 has built in blu-ray which is better than Hd-dvd anyway.)

You get a headset with the console itself. You get an ethernet cable with the console itself. Everything else = pointless extras which aren't even close to being necessary (wheel - are you kidding?).

None of those effect my gaming experience. If I wanted to play four player on PS2 I needed a multitap, which effects gameplay. The only thing on your list that changed gameplay is the wheel, and every console has had a wheel in the past 15 years.mis3ry

but there giving them to you without a choice. why would I pay 200 extra dollars on a syestem with stuff I dont even need?

I bought an Xbox 360 to play games. It cost me $399. I bought a charger cable for $14 cause i dont like having to buy batteries. I wanted to play online, the console came with an ethernet cable. I want to communicate while online; it came with a headset. I need something to save my games on; it came with a hard drive. Done. Everything i need.

And if you want to go that extra mile, using that lovely ethernet cable i can stream whatever i like off my computer to my 360, HD video included. Or i can rent movies in HD through the 360 itself. $399.

PS3 = $600. This thread? Done.

 Ever hear of the PS2? This machine that would break if you looked at it funny and was so well made, it took5 years and a class action suit for the mighty Sony to fix the problems the machine had...

I got my xbox yet I don't have nothing of that cuz, u know I rather have options than being forced, andby the way could you use eyetoy for online videochat and for other games?I guess not.

$50. Let's not exaggerate now. And you still haven't responded. Funny, that. Xbox live is $4 a month. To put that into perspective, millions pay $15 a month just for warcraft. You could honestly pay for xbox live each month with loose change you find on your travels throughout the course of said month.

For one thing you don't need the wireless headset just like you said you can buy a cheaper one for ps3 you can do the same for 360.

You don't need the wifi adapter wifi sucks for gaming online anyway if anything you bring lag to other people. Plus you can buy other wifi adapters for half the price of the 360s.

Lol you don't need the 360 stirring wheel you could just use controller.

The camera for 360 is more advance and you can video chat and stuff you don't need it.

For the charger go buy a cheap one from walmart

1. Wireless adapter.  No thanks I bought a $12 one and configured it.  Have wifi and only cost me $12.

2. Quality bluetooth headsets are expensive and nobody talks on PSN online anyway.  With 360 headsets come with the system and are used by everyone.

3. Steering Wheel?  You can't be comparing the sixaxis to a steering wheel. LMAO. Rumble can't be added to PS3 for any price ATM.

4. Rechargeable battery pack?  Sorry but I own AA batteries that are rechargeable and they only cost me $5.  Plus hope you like replacing the whole controller when the Sixaxis battery goes bad.

5. Xbox LIVE destroys PSN and is worth the $4 a month end of story.  When PSN is better than LIVE you can come back and complain.  I guarantee if LIVE was on PS3 everyone would chose it over the version they have now.

6. HD-DVD isn't needed for any 360 game that I know of?  Maybe you can list some that use that.  I can stream HD movies over Windows Media Center Extender/Vista and I can download full HD movies over live.  Well I guess PS3 owners can buy a $200 media center extender since they think those are free.

Plus you forget that PS3 is officialy $200 more than 360 now and no $499 version anymore.  You also forget PS3 comes with no HDTV cables component/HDMI.  Nor does it come with a headset like what comes standard on 360.

So with 360 we get a headset, media center extender for streaming HDTV/Audio/Pictures, HDD, better library, better online, and a true gaming system for $200 less than PS3.

I own a PS3 trust me buddy I would sell it in a heartbeat over 360.

Are you bored or something, what in the hell made you come up with this. They are all options one can consider to get when they get a 360. You dont have to buy any of em if you dont want to. MS isnt forcing you to have an HD DVD drive, or Wi-fi et cetera. If one wants to buy every add on out there and an elite thats up to them not MS so I really dont see how any one is getting screwed or milked if they are buying something they want.

The PS3 on the other hand has something I dont want but you are forced to buy anyway which is bluray. Something that I know myself I will not be using and that I am not interested in.So why should I spend 600+ on something that has a feature(s) I am not interested or wont use; to me that is getting screwed or milked buying something you prolly wont use or dont really need. The only thing I care about is the games for which ever console I buy thats the deciding factor not these petty lil bells and whistle features you cows continue to bring up.

360 owners should have nothing to feel bad about or feel like they are getting screwed we are getting solid/interesting games left and right and as gamers thats all that should matter. Again like I said its a choice;if someone wants Wi-fi,HD-DVD, Play and charge kits and all that,that is up to them. None of those things are required or are vital to playing games on the 360.

If you have a PS3 and like that you spent 600+ to watch movies and play mediocre games and have all these lil features thats you, there is no need to make another thread on a topic that has been beaten to death by tons of people before you...we get it the 360 has add ons thank you for reminding us.
