How many times do we have to state the fact that the 360 is too expensive?

Start believing it alrdy. The consumers are being lied to, because they dont buy the ps3, they think its expensive.

But when they buy one, oh buy, they are BEING RIPPED OFF!! 

Console  = 300

3x HDD 20 gig to match the PS3 =  300

HD scart cable = 30

Wi-fi = 100

HDDVD addon = 200

5 years xboxlive = 250

So the average 360owner pays about 300+300+30+100+200+250=

1180 dollars!!!

AND THATS WITHOUT ANY GAMES!!!!

 As usual, microsoft is moneyhungry

The average 360 owner doesn't but wifi, hd-dvd, hd cables (which are included), extra hard drives, and extra years of xbox live at the start. /thread.

Hardly anyone actually buys all of the extra stuff.  I don't even have live.

I've bought mine for 400$ and have bunch of good games and much better graphics then PS3.

Your whole post is a damn joke. Why do you need the HD-DVD to play games or a 3x bigger HDD (for $300). I am what you would call the average gamer or 360 owner I didnt pay anywhere near that when I got my 360. Whatever makes you feel better after spending 600+ on an overhyped mediocre console with a bunch of lackluster games.

Okay I'm going to now use your logic in order to compare the playstation 2 to the Xbox.

Xbox: 120$

Dvd player for xbox 20$

Playstation 2 100$

1000 memory cards 24,000$ to makeup for the lack of an 8 gig harddrive the xbox had.

so it ends up being xbox 140$

and playstation 2 24,100$

I'm aware that you can buy a hardrive for the ps2 but still this is to show how flawed the TC logic is.

Why must it match the PS3? So if i bought a mini, i'd have to go out and buy new parts to make it match an aston martin? Simple fact: you can enjoy next gen games in HD, fully online, with everything the 360 comes with.

I got a 360 and a charge cable. That's it. It already came with a hard drive, and a head set, and a huge ethernet cord. That's all i need, to be honest. I just bought the charge cable as an extra, as i dont like buying batteries.

Everything else you put is a joke.

Dude first off..why buy 3 20Gb hDD for 300 when u can get the 120Gb for 180....

Second....Ive only pay 450( one year of live) so far..and techinally I've paid 1050..cuz i have 10 games for 360...

oh yeah i forgot u have 600 ps3 with no games, so yea i paid 450.

Sounds like that is only thing NEEDED for games, the other accessories are just nice to have. Like wireless is a nice feature, but not needed.

Anyway, why is it that when people try to price-compare the 360, they always bolt on a bunch of extra crap?  Who needs 3 hard drives (you conveniently ignored the 120 GB drive coming in a couple weeks)?  Who needs a SCART cable (do Euro TVs not have component)?  Do you need HD DVD to play games?  Do you need WiFi to play games?lowe0

1. I could just get the Elite and then I would have a 120 gig harddrive for $480.

2. Why do I need Wi-Fi? The 360 comes with an ethernet cable and wired connections are better than wireless ones

3. What's the point of the HDDVD add on when I can just download HD movies off of live marketplace?
