Lemmings need to be quiet about PS3 sales....They have no room to talk

Xbox 360

1) Had a mega-blitz of ads starting in May 2005 with MTV.  Was hyped beyond all recognition.  It had even more advertising than PS3 did before its launch. 

2) Had a steady flow of great titles in its 1st year.  GeOW, GRAW, PGR3, Oblivion, etc.

3) Had absolutely no competition except from last gen consoles. 

4) Had a good, solid E306. 

5) Has a few killer aps already

PS3

1) Had less advertising than 360 b4 its launch

2) Had a terrible, wretched E306

3) Has 2 current gen consoles to compete with

4) Already has mediocre software unlike 360 had in its 1st 5 months

5) Has no rumble

6) Is $200 more expensive than Xbox 360

7) Has no achievement points for games

8. Has no killer aps yet

Despite ALL OF THIS NEGATIVITY, PS3 is on track to sell the same number of units as the 360 did during its 1st year.  And it STILL has no killer ap yet.  What do you think will happen when PS3 gets a price drop and releases its killer aps?  Lemmings need to watch out!

Look at it in these terms....Lemmings have absolutely no room to make fun of PS3 sales.

Although it seems you flame everything, the lems have been annoying. On the contrary, cows acted the same way with PS2. So I guess payback is a ...you know....

Yeah, I do.  Xbox 360 had a huge surge of sales during the 2006 holiday season.  You think PS3 won't somehow have the same?  PS3 will have some great software by that point as well.  Don't be surprised if there is a price cut as well on the PS3.  GTAIV, even though it is not exclusive anymore, will sell both PS3s and 360s.  Also, PS3 isn't breaking down nearly as much as 360 did.  I have gone through 3 xbox 360s...and I know several friends who have had their 360 break down as well.  10 million 360 sales in a year is good....but I'm not kidding myself.  I know that a lot of those sales were from people who replaced their broken 360s.  PS3 doesn't have this problem.

sounds interesting, but do you have any other credible sources? 

theres a couple of problems with ur post. but the 360 E3 was technically a failure because it followed the PS3 E3 in which they showed all those prerendered vidoes. taking all of microsofts thunder. second 360 went up agains an established PS2 that still had more games coming, same with even the gamecube. and most of the market was pushing towards the new handhelds then new consoles.
second the PS3 went up agains 1 console that launched with it, and 1 console only a year into its life. the 360 is in no way a PS2. the fact is PS3 had less dangerous competition. sure the PS3 also competes with PS2, but the PS2 doesnt pump out the same big games, with the exception of god of war 2. also the the PS2 casuals, is a very big market that hasnt decided which console they will go with. a good portion of the hardcore brand fans have made up there mind. but the PS2 userbase of casuals is still undecided.

the fact is the 360 is outselling the PS3 every month so far. the PS3 yes may start to sell more, but it wont be by much. Which is a shame because the 360 is dominant in NA, solid in EU, and non existant in japan. Unlike the PS3 which is steady in all 3. the fact is 360 only sells at a solid rate in 2/3 of the market. PS3 has solid sales in 3/3 of the market. the fact is lemms have every right to laugh at PS3 sales. it should be drastically higher than 360s based on the success of PS2 and PS1, and the fact it can actually sell in Japan. also the huge fanbase it has in europe. yet thats not the case. infact at this point the PS3 might just be barely beating the 360 in worldwide sales every month.

To tell the truth i'm not sure. Just thought i'd reply with the same logic he is using.

im not cuz there isnt going to be one.if sony didnt force blue ray on PS3 or if it was released earlier,then there might be....
