Lemmings You do realize that by praising Gears your admitting 360 has peaked

Its kind of sad how i keep reading thread after thread on how Gears is still the graphics king and no game can dethrone it, not even the almighty Mass Effect or Halo 3.. You do realize that by praising Gears, a game that is over a year old, by doing so you are pretty much admitting that the 360 has peaked and isnt capable of anything better than Gears.. I mean think about it.. If The Almighty games such as Mass Effect or Halo 3 cant even dethrone Gears as the "grapics King" then you have to ask yourselves.. What game can?!

Not only that, but Halo 3 and Mass Effect came out a whole year later than Gears, according to your logic, if Gears is the Graphics God then Mass Effect or Halo 3 should have be Crysis level graphics if the 360 generated something as great as Gears just a year before those games came out.. Keep in mind that i own a PS3 and 360 and im not neccesairly bashing either system. The point im trying to make is, Their are games that look better than Gears of war.. COD4 and UT3 in my opinion look a lot better than Gears.. So if the 360 hasnt peaked then how come one year later and not even Halo 3.. The biggest game in video game history cant even top Gears as the "graphics king"

oh and on the whole "Uncharted is better than Gears" debate, when it comes to comparing these two games all it comes down to is preference. While Uncharted clearly has better detailed enviroments than Gears, I will say that Gears has by far the better and more detailed character models, as far as art direction goes.. Thats a matter of preference since both are completly different art styles.. In my opinion both games look equally as good in their own ways

LOL, so then since people were still praising Oblivion up to & just before Gears of War came out.... that means the 360 peaked with Oblivion??? NOPE... cuz we have Gears!

it just means good game devlopment that can only be improved upon with the same effort, if u talk graphics i say bioshock looks better maybe even assassins creed just cause i like AC! :"D

yeah thats true they said they used like 30 some precent as they wished they could have optimized....idk how much that translate to better visualizes but by the look for 30 percent being low i'd say so, same with ut3 on the ps3 it used only 55% of it...but only runs at 30fps because they have to rush out in time for christmas and sony fans....it could be 60 if u give it 2 more months i bet.

it took the ps3 1 year to get a game that looks as good as gears. what does that say about the ps3?... epic even said that gears only pushed the 360 to about10-20%of the 360's power so yeah stop.

I don't think 360's graphics will ever be better than Gears. The 360 has too many limitations with no hard drive and only supporting DVD format games. Also, the 360's processor is not nearly as powerful as the PS3's processor. On the other hand, I think the PS3's graphics will continue to improve because it's a more advanced console.Baurus_1

Tc you must not be very bright umm look at Halo 3 it dosent do anything special but has excellent lighting what you think is dumb Havoc engine vs unreal and unreal will win every time halo never went for graphics you fell into the hype.
