Everyone here may hate the mac, but where else can you find a computer with 12-core Intel Xeon processors, 64 gb. of RAM, and 8 TB. of harddrive space?razor990
By assembling it yourself.
That computer is a workstation, not a gaming platform. This thread does not belong in System Wars but in the trash bin.
I'm a fan of Thunderbolt in laptops, too.
I would buy a Mac if it weren't for their ridiculous prices. Ever since they switched to Intel x86 architecture in 2005, it hasn't been hard to turn a Mac into a regular PC.

Two ATI Radeon HD 5770 cards can't run games? Yeah, ok.Two ATI Radeon HD 5770 cards can't run games? Yeah, ok.razor990
Did you just pull those out of your arse? You didn't mention them in the OP.
Doesn't change anything, a custom built PC in the same price range as that Mac wiould crunch it in every way.
Sounds like you're just trying to cluth at straws because your thread was dismantled and blown away in just a handful of posts ;)
Really? Listing a spec is clutching? Admit it, the computer could run any game at ultra high settings. You seem like the Windows fan equivalent of an apple fanatic...pathetic.razor990
Ok let's see...12 cores...only 2, maybe 4 will be utilised by most games. Per core performance is much more important than number of cores.
64gigs of ram. Benchmarks show that after 8 gigs of ram there are performance decreases that reach up to 5% for 16gigs of ram. 64 gigs? lol.
dual 5770s. About the same performance as a single 5870/gtx560ti/6870. But you also get all the pile of crap that comes with running dual ATI GPUs.
inb4 post benchies, just google lol.
So because it wasn't in the OP it doesn't exist? Do you try hard to be this stupid or does it come naturally?razor990
You can't blame others for your own mistakes.
The computer you posted in the OP is a workstation and anyone with a clue about computers would know that.
Just like anyone with a clue about computers would know if you bought the very same exact pieces that are in that computer off the net, you would have the same computer spending half as much money.
After your attempt at flaunting that Mac's power was debunked, you added two 5770s.
You're in denial, and you should apply that last question in your post to you instead of me.
Also, enjoy your moderation. Good day sir ;)

What part of

is hard to grasp?
So because it wasn't in the OP it doesn't exist? Do you try hard to be this stupid or does it come naturally? Wow, is someone sensitive about this subject? Be careful, you could get moderated for insults like that.My Grandma just bought a Mac, she's really old and doesn't really know how to work computers all that well. She ran Windows Xp and then later on windows vista and she had constant issues with both operating systems. Being the Windows fanboy I am I told her that Windows was the better OS, that apple products are overpriced and she'd be better off just getting Windows 7 and saving some money.
She went to the store and came back with a $1400 mac laptop that some sales man got her to buy. Having really played around with it myself for a bit trying to set it up for her it just surprised me how fast, fluid and stable the OS felt, especially considering the specs. Something just feels different about it and she really really enjoys it. I don't understand why people give it so much #)$)# beyond the price tag.
