1) FANBOY! I'll let you know I have a Wii, 360, and Gaming computer. So I know what I'm talking about as far as graphics.

You just what I said. That there are technical ways of proving superiority thus making it not subjective. So how is it an opinion if you can prove that Uncharted uses better lighting techniques and textures than say helo 3?

Maybe not 3000 times better. But Uncharted definitely has better graphics than any console game I have seen yet. I have Gears of War running on my PC with better textures and higher rez... and there are parts of uncharted that look better than Gears. Alot of Gears is dark tones, black and white, greys and fuzzy backgrounds. And look at the textures on the characters faces and hair in Gears verses Uncharted. The hair and faces look more realistic/cleaner to me on Uncharted on an HD screen. More facial animation for one thing.

Also the second river ride scene in Uncharted where you are riding up stream has some of the best water effects I have ever seen in a game. And I own Bioshock on my PC so that is saying something. Except in the very opening scene of Bioshock where you start in the water, a lot of Bioshocks water seem canned to me. For most of Uncharted the water seems more dynamic(except you don't seem to splash when you hit puddles which sucks)

Also when you are standing up really high in those castles and looking down at the beach and the water crashing on the shore... that's another holy sh*t moment.

Uncharted has really bright colorful graphics, but don't be fooled... it is in the top in terms of graphics right now. THE TOP IMO. When you get into the later levels where you start to explore that dark island and the dudes shooting laser pointers at you, it has a darker feel and definitely looks better than Gears drom what I have seen. And on top, the game never seems to load. Everything is streamed in the background.

Uncharted's graphics are 9.5 for me. Only Crysis is definitely better but who can run it at a decent frame rate?

BioShock definitely belongs on the list and is easily among the best. Halo 3? Not so much.

basically there are 2 levels 2 graphics. there linked to an extent but there are distanctions.

theres the technical side. this is not subjective, this is measurable. it is 100% fact that okami is not as good as gears on the technical side. gears is far far superior to okami in every single way on the technical front.....its in an order of magnitude better. this is fact. it cannot be disputed. anyone who says that okami is technically more sophisticated than gears is wrong. there is no opinion.

now i feel all bad for picking on okami....geat game..EVERYONE BETTER BLOODY BUY IT FOR THE WII FI THEY DONT HAVE THE PS2 VERSION....OTHERWISE!!...well were going to have words. im watching u guys O_O.

the other side of this though is the art direction....thats still graphics, its integral to graphics. and this really comes down to opinion. personally i think okami looks better than pretty much every game on the wii, 360, PS3 or even PC....the game is just eye candy. im sure many will disagree with me but noone can actually prove me wrong. sure u can throw gears or crysis specs at me all u want but at the end of the day, i prefer the look of okami.

imho what it comes down to is not tech specs or polly counts, but the end result.
