5.0, 6.5, 5.7. A lot to be excited about. :lol:TekkenMaster606
Even if the game sucks, it will still sell millions to those crazy japanese.
Software sales, my friend. Software sales.Rev3nger
50 Cent Bulletpoof is the greatest game ever.
is this about MH3 being announced for the wii? cause its pretty huge news actually, the game is one of the biggest franchises in japan. sony lost a big one.---OkeyDokey---
That cannot be emphasized enough. It's going to hurt sony's sales a lot more than originally anticipated if MH3 remains exclusive.
Because stealing an exclusive that isn't even A status means everything to us. Especially because it will sell well in the country that turned Half Life 2 into a rail shooter. TekkenMaster606yep.
Have you people bashing the game because of scores ever actually played the game. Everyone i know who ever picked up the game thought ti was awesome and alot of the gripes the reviewers have are fairly empty. For instance i believe it was here on gamespot someone complained about the combination system beign pure trial and error when there is actual a reference section in your menue that tells you what items go together with what, you just ahve to use it and find out ad most of the time the important items are fairly obvious like gunpowder plus large barrel equals large barrel bomb.
Honestly thought the series is great and the reviews are what i would consider to be te most unfair scores of any game to date. I have 9 friends who have picked up the game and of that 9 8 are totally hooked and have been since the original and now we are playing through freedom 2 on the psp. THis game needs alot more hype and people actual playign the game for themselves then going purely off reviews.

They also turned it into a 4 player arcade fps.
I have pics. I played it. It was really awesome.

yea the psp versions are really popular, and it seems that gs has def underrated them(look at the critic average). believe me, people love these games, and imo there pretty awesome. love/hate kinda thing. and they also rated dead head fred low when it was getting above 8.0 from everywhere else. but you should play them if you havent.
It's not about the scores even, I assume that this is some kind of response to the fact that Capcom stopped development of the game for the PS3. The PS3 is losing games due to the difficulty of development, first it's this game, but who knows what other games will follow. I hope this isn't a trend that's about to pick up, because if it does, Sony's going to have a big problem on their hands.Exeed_Orbit
This guys hit the nail right on the head. The fact remains that a developer has openly said that the PS3 is too costly and difficult to develop for.
The PSP version hurt my soul. The controls for the Monster Hunters games are very consistent though. CONSISTENTLY BAD! *Ba dun dun tss* (The onomatopoeia for cymbals is hard....)
But seriously, Monster Hunter is pretty bad,I agree
Pokemon isn't a AAA calibur game series either but if Microsoft or Sony managed to somehow acquire the Pokemon license from Nintendo these forums would be going haywire and there would be endless posts about how Nintendo's dominance of hand-helds is going to come to an end. In the real world sales do matter, and even in the little fake systemwars world, the Wii getting a game that is that big japan can only mean good things for the Wii's future library.Zerostatic0
That not funny....What funny is both Sega and Sony had a chance at it before Nintendo and they both did not think it would go anywheres.

Monster Hunter = Pokemon Lite. Say what you want, but it's a big catch.

Ksh sounds right, let's go with that.
[QUOTE="TekkenMaster606"]That PSP engine the last MH game ran on must have been easy to port over to the Wii. Tylendal
Sour grapes?
Honestly, I couldn't care less. Crappy games like this on any platform are still crap.

Whether it's good or not, people will buy it. It will help the Wii get more install base and market share. You think the PS2 won last gen just because of its A/AA/AAAs? That system was casual/shovelware city, and look how it destroyed the competition sales-wise. Game companies don't care s**t about a game's review scores if it doesn't sell. No-one's saying it's GOTY or anything dumb like that.

A) Gamespot underrated it.
B) Like Red Steel, it is a game that many people love despite the problems.
C) Most importantly, a major developer openly told Sony that the PS3 is too expensive to develop for, and they took away a million+ selling exclusive.

It been awhile from the last time I read it but it was something like Ken Sugimori was working for Sega when he came up with the idea. But Sega said that no one would ever want to collect 150 monsters "not called Pokemon at the time" so he went to Sony next then Nintendo. He became friends with Shigeru Miyamoto who he based Professor Oak off of...The details may be off a little I read it like 10 years ago.
This Monster Hunter announcement is like watching two cats clawing at the bottom of the barrel. "No, we're in next to last place!" "No, we are!"
It should at least outscore NBA Live on the Wii.
I am not sure what the big deal is. I keep hearing most Nintendo fans saying..."Sony lost a big one" but lets be real. Sony owns both the PSP and the PS3. Monster hunter has been selling very well on the PSP and so far from what I have heard if the PS3 version is out, the PSP version is still being made meaning Sony still gains from MH3 success.
As for MH3 not coming to the PS3 because its hard to develop for, I highly doubt that. The truth that we all know about Capcom is they love quick cash ins and you can see that bylike 7 different STreet fighter 2s. If it doesnt come to the PS3 its because Capcom doesnt wanna invest the time and money to update that franchise with HD graphics, advanced AI, and physics and instead they wanna make a PSP version that has been selling well and port it to the Wii like other companies.
So in the end MH3 would only hurt the PS3 if they had made one with HD graphics, advanced AI, and physics for the 360 but making another monster hunter based off the PSP hardware and porting it to the Wii is far from a hit to Sony or the PS3. In the end most MH fans will play it on the system they have been enjoying it for some time, the PSP and the Wii will get yet another PSP, DS, PS2 port to add to its collection. Nobody would pay 60 bones for a PSP port of MH3 to the PS3.

Typical cows. Unable to see and comprehend the deeper implications because of the blinders you wear.
We don't care about the game itself; we care about the reasoning behind the decision that led to its transfer. When ANY million-selling EXCLUSIVE franchise changes platform, it's a big deal. If Madden became exclusive to the Wii, you'd be saying the same thing, since Madden has barely changed since 2001 and has gradually declined in score. But that doesn't make it any less of an industry-shaking decision.
