Lettuce all remember just how good Uncharted 2 and God of War 3 look

Honestly, I don't think that GoWIII looks that good. It has really artifical unnatural look and low-poly backgrounds.

God of War 3 has some of the best character models around. Particularly Kratos and some of the monsters - minotaurs were very impressive. It also had Hera and Zeus' beard. There were definitely some low points to that game...

Mmmmh, I don't think anyone has discarded Uncharted 2, however you really need to remove GoW3 from the list :P granted it did look good, but it was more of an artstyle thing then proficciant graphics, the PS3 has better looking games then that, infact, as someone who generally liked GoW2, Id prefer if GoW3 was quietly forgotten.

Kz2 looked pretty good, U2 looked really good.

Never playied Geow2 so cant comment, and im not one for going by bullshots, so I can not say if Geow 2 looked good, and sadly wont be able to tell how the 3rd would look when it is out. Geow 1 looked well enough back then.

But in the end pretty graphics can not hide bad gameplay (altho it often sets out to do it) - I am not one who judges games by graphics alone. (this is none related to the thread, just in general)

I hope you ment "on any console" otherwise you may have entered a world of hurt on these boards ^^ you will be burried under a mountain of Crysis, Shattered horizon, ARMAII, and the next 8 PC titles that are better looking.

Why so many people think its impressive is something I don't understand. I guess its impressive the same way Street Fighter 4 and Marvel vs Capcom 3 are because both those games are also 2D games painted with polygons.

I don't find those two that impressive either.I mean,Im no fanboy but clearly they don't look as good as year and half ago.They are still nice but not that special...

I own ALL 3 ;)

They are good games but they are 2D games using polygons.

The environments are all single sided. You can't go around any objects while panning the camera. Hack n Slash type games like Golden Axe have existed for years but God Of War paints them with polygons. Ninja Gaiden is a 3D game where the entire environment is rendered and you can go around any object.

I must be totally out of the game..I have not really seen an ugly game this gen? oh well...yes I have UC2 and it does look incredible and I cant emagine what games will look like on the PS4. OKOK..please dont post horrible pics of crysis please...I have a couple thousand in paypal and i will pay you to NOT post crysis puke pictures..thanks.

UC looks great, GOW3 is not that special imo.

And just for no reason a game that imo should be brought up more often when it comes to graphics. Arma2 (taken at playable settings).

It's inconsistent sure, but I excuse some of that because of the huge scale.

How about we post some real pictures ;)

They both look great. GOW looks better than Uncharted 2, but only just a very tiny bit, and most of the time Uncharted 2 looks better. Overall I 'd say Uncharted 2 is the better looking game.

Don't get me wrong, Crysis looks good, but its just so boring and repetitive looking at that same jungle theme over and over. Uncharted just kills it with more variety and locations.

Can't someone just post a few decent screenshots of Crysis or Metro on PC? There's nothing impressive about those screens, if you don't take the perspective of the limited hardware it's on. But as a PC gamer I'm not used to that perspective, and I can't see how it's anything to brag about.

TC, most of those pics dont help your cause. Gears3 does look better than it, so does Uncharted3.
