Haven't tried Limbo yet, how close is it to the real thing?

Wasn't that 'magic' basically the art direction? Aside from that it's a pretty straightforward sidescrolling platformer with some clever puzzle elements, right?
WoW, i mean Wooow. Someone actually made a side scrolling platform game out of the toolset from a side scrolling platform game? I'm amazed, thats unbelievable.

idk, just the character in general and the gameplay and the way he moved really spoke to me....sackboy is awesome, but he just doesn't do that for me, lol
even the guy that designed the lvl couldn't make the jump at he end with lbps sloppy controls. :P
seriously though that was pretty cool. i have a copy of lbp but never play it very much there always seems to be something more interesting out that i would rather be playing.

These levels are made by people who bought he game, not by the developers of LBP. There are numerous levels on lbp that are unique and exist no where else. This only shows how much flexibility this game still has almost 2 years after release. It also shouldn't go off the servers because it's not being sold for money. It's a parody which is allowed.
I give it a short amount of time before thats taken down from the psn servers since its a clear rip off of an entire other game.

Who needs to waste 15$ on a single XBL game with no replayability whatsoever when you can play it on LBP for free + 2 million other levels? :lol: Adding insult to injury, LBP is much better at Limbo's own game. :lol: Have fun paying 15$ on XBLA games (that were 10$ previously) for the rest of your life. I'll be enjoying LBP1 and maybe even LBP2 that will top any platformer that appears on xbox for years to come. :lol:

That's not even close to true. The game has gotten thousands of people involved in a more creative side of gaming that may have never experienced something like that otherwise. Not to mention imitation is a good way to learn, especially from a technical standpoint.
Nice, got the mood of the game down as far as what you can do with LBP, I wonder if someone will attempt a recreation of Limbo as close as possible though, seeing a spider in LBP like what was in Limbo will be interesting to see how someone does it.
Hahaha:lol: I have to give props to them. Its incredible what people do in these games. Reminds me a bit of Mods people make for PC to implement other game universes in to different games. LBP 2 will have so much more.
Pretty damn cool, but as other people have pointed out the controls of LBP retract a bit from the fluid controls of Limbo. Not to mention it isn't quite the same. Having said that it is pretty damn cool.

He is right in some sense though the actual creation of it was nice work, but the creativity, ingenuity, and originality are all not impressive and it is distinctly possible that psn will take it down, especially if the designers of Limbo threaten a lawsuit.

You'd think he would be banned for all of his trolling... William, you should go sell your PS3 if you really hate it that much. MM doesn't and hasn't taken down levels made about other games for a very long time, AFAIK. They'd only take it down if it was offensive or something.
There's been Gears and Halo levels on LBP, but from what I know, most weren't any good. It helps that both of these games are FPS and not platformers... In LBP2, you could theoretically recreate an FPS through illusion, but it would end up being more like Doom than Halo/Gears because of how much work you'd need to do just to make it look so good.

This level is not being sold for profit, neither is it an entire game. It's a parody of a game created by a single person not the developers of the game. If that were the case then all parodies ever created should be destroyed.
