Lionhead Studios new project. Fable 4? B&W3?

Lionhead is looking for

Technical Director

for a brand new game. This is the most recent job listing for Lionhead and was posted on December 13.

Other job posting for Lionhead directly or specifically mention Fable Legends in the description. So a clear indication that a brand new project is indeed in development at Lionhead.

Now whether its full-scale game or some other small project like Fable Journey or XBLA game is now yet know. We have contacted Lionhead for some official word, so stay tuned as we will update this post as soon as we get to hear something from them.

No matter how good or bad it is, people will hate it. It's what people do.

People will hate anything however Fable 3 really was a bad game. It wasn't even an RPG. Just a causal adventure game that even a 7 year old could play.

Black and White 3 please! If not I'll be happy with Fable IV, with any luck they should of learned from their mistakes with Fable III so we can have another good Fable game.

That all depends on which audience Microsoft decides to target with the next game. If anything, Lionhead needs to start taking notes from both Bioware and Bethseda before attempting another Fable. While the first two were good, the full games were still shorter than a competitors expansion.

Did everyone in here forget about Fable Legends? They aren't continuing the Fable saga anymore, 1-3 were Peter Molyneux's idea, and he is no longer with Lionhead. He was very sad to hear that they wouldn't be continuing his original vision, but he hopes Fable Legends is good too.

@Jakandsigz: Hopefully it's B&W3 or BC. I would love to see a reboot of Populus for next-gen, but with a bigger world.

Lionhead lost some top key talent, they are filling up and their work on Fable HD will allow them to do Fable 4 or a Fable related project with what they learn remaking Fable HD, much like new Halo studio 343 did in making Halo HD...which helped start up 343 with Halo 4.

Hopefully that is the case. Fable 3 was a good game but a serious drop from Fable 2.

I want an open world Fable so bad. Maybe blend Fable with Folklore

The new Fable is FABLE LEGENDS, so I doubt this is another Fable game.

Fable 1 was a massive dissappointment, yet still a fanastic game and a real Xbox gem. More of that please Lionhead, less Fable 3

Its probably something small - Lionhead has a history of doing that. It seems they announce a AAA game then announce some Arcade game to accompany it.

Fable 2 Full HD Edition. Then in couple of years Fable 3 Full HD Edition.

It would be nice, definitely.

Despite having a bit of a love/hate relationship with the series, I find them improved with each installment... It's also still a really great exclusive for the Xbox. I hope they do it well.

If it is Fable IV I hope it's more along the lines of Fable 1. Despite all the hype and broken promises that game was still a masterpiece and infinitely superior to the sequels. "CHICKEN CHASUH, DO YOU CHASE CHICKUNS??" will forever be ingrained in my brain

Microsoft does not own Black and White, IIRC, so no, it cannot be Black and White 3.

I certainly hope it's not another fable. They get objectively worse with each installment. Biggest disappointment of 7th gen was fable 2.

Sadly a Fable is already in the works and is a multiplayer garbage and not a RPG

Not that i expected anything less catastrophic for the series that is going worse with every new release

That new game is a worse idea than the Kinect one even, since it is a random crappy generic multiplayer title

Really now, noone cares what this "new game" may be, since it is not Fable 4 and is not a main game because Fable is in the works as we speak in that multiplayer abomination, so it can be nothing but some random generic other crappy title, like Fable Heroes or some party game
