I will give you achievments, but lol @ the rest.treelog82
gotta atleast give me hard drive and guide button in the middle of the controller, and look at how they try to model their online network. Come on you dont think they just thought all that up on their own did you?

The psp had the guide button. Think the PS2 had optional hd support but my memory's hazy and I guess it does'nt count.
Really? While the list isn't that great, there are a few goods points. The Xbox was the first to have: a hard drive, Guide Button on the controller, and Achievements. All of which can now be found in the PS3. To say that Sony was always first is ridiculous. To say that they're better is a lie. Xbox Live still trumps PSN and Trophies don't hold a candle to Achievements.Sony was first, and they're better.
PSN/Home > LIVE/Netflix
And the games are better. I respect Microsoft, but I don't appreciate many things they are doing to the industry.

PS2 had hdd support. Even if it wouldnt have, it was really the next logical step this gen, not some brillian innovative idea. If anything MS took a step back in this regard by not having a standard HDD in each 360.
Guide button. Once again logical next step. The Wii also has this.
Online structure. While PSN wouldnt be what it is today without competition from LIVE the functions you listed are only common sense to have for an online gaming network.
DLC for movies and games? Really? lol. Even the PS2 had dlc for games.
Wireless controller. Next logical step once again and has been around since last gen.
Gears and Halo? Unless you are trying to say Uncharted is a GeoW rip off because of its cover system. Even though many games had cover systems long before Gears was even a thought. Not to mention Uncharted is a platformer, puzzle solver, and shooter in one. Very different from Gears and its not even developed by Sony. As for Halo I dont know what your getting at.
Achievments? Yes trophies are a blatant rip off. MS really struck gold with achievements and it was a very original idea. I dont care for them, but many others do.

Yup I completely forgot. I only bought one for MGS: PO and then got rid of it. But yeah I guess PSP was the first.wow... is this a joke? youre seriously trying to bash a company for keeping up with competition? and all of these are incredibly minor.. the location of a button... REALLY?

All of your next logical steps were done 1st by M.S. Meaning Sony copied them or atleast were inspired by the Xboxes implementation of these features.[QUOTE="treelog82"][QUOTE="pghprince"]

Meaning Sony copied them or atleast were inspired by the Xboxes implementation of these features. the psp had the home button so try againg the ps2 had a hd and a wireless controller so try next time u fanboyI would assume that "copy" would mean than Sony would not have done it if MS had not.
That leaves achievements which they blatantly copied at the request of their users.

All of your next logical steps were done 1st by M.S. Meaning Sony copied them or atleast were inspired by the Xboxes implementation of these features. Actually no, try reading a little harder along with reading what other posters said as well. Most of those next logical steps were done by Sony before MS. Still though, it doesnt matter who did them first since it was only common sense that lead to those changes and not some brilliant innovation. MS with achievements? Very clever and worked out better than anyone could have predicted. The rest of the list? No.1. so bad of a argument. they all copied computers since that is the basic idea of a video game system /sarcasm 2. terrible argument and who cares 3. only legit argument 4. well wtf is someone supposed to do for online structure not have any of that 5. the dlc for games is bad, however ms did implement movies really well on the 360 and then sony followed suit this year by putting that into the ps store 6. everyone wants this 7. no just no.
