Thanks for that.
LBP2 is going to be an amazing game, I loved the first one much more than any Mario etc. It's creation tools are amazingly complex yet simple enough to learn. I reckon it's got a shot of getting a 10. I mean SMG2 got a 10 right?
AAAAE I would doubt. Based on what we've seen, it's a decent improvement over LBP. I see 9.5 at max.
Em...nothing special here.Ratchet_Fan8
The gameplay in that fighting game looks pretty bad, however, i admire the creator's creativity, it looks like the tools are pretty robust, so i don't know why you say is nothing special.
It seems to be coming more of a developing and creation tool than an actual game. I guess I prefer to have a premade experience rather than creating something myself.
That was really good to see.
Its a solid 9.5 on Gamespot imo. It seems to be what the first game should have been. And with those features the first game had alone, it score a 95 on Meta. Shane was really enjoying the game in the Now Playing vid, I think he's going to review it.
Everything is pointing on LBP2 on surpassing LBP in every possible way. If we were to bet, I'd say its going to surpass that 95 for a 96 on Meta.
This game seems to be so much fun. I can't wait to try out the demo/beta once its available to the public.
Just see the link for youself: (sorry can't link) LBP 2 FF VII: http://everythingforgamers.info/video/212/littlebigplanet-2-final-fantasy-vii-gameplay/ LBP 2 Sony vs. Marvel vs. Capcom: http://www.pushsquare.com/21729/crazy-people-create-sony-vs-marvel-vs-capcom-in-littlebigplanet-2/ May LBP 2 be the second PS3 AAAAE title? Maybe.... ihsanqueenThats amazing, especially the possibilities that the community has to create something. I dont think GS will give it a 10, since it seems they flop everything....honestly im starting to think the GS reviews are a joke, but ill see next year
Story mode is actually supposed to be good this time (at least that's what they said) and you could just play levels by other people if you don't to make any yourself. It seems to be coming more of a developing and creation tool than an actual game. I guess I prefer to have a premade experience rather than creating something myself.

I have a feeling companies will request for designs based of other games to be taken down again though.
HAHA wow, I knew someone was going to seriously try doing an FFVII remake. I just didn't know it would this early. And those saying something like "wow this more of a creation tool than a game" need to shut up because the game isn't even out yet and we don't know what kind of single player experience we're getting yet. I literally have no extra money to spend. Please don't make me do it Media Molecule
So you want me to buy a game, in which I have the tools to make my own game, but the end result will be a cheap knockoff?
EDIT: with terrible platforming?

The gameplay part. The point of this game isn't to try to make your own level and fail hard, it's to take everyone else's good levels!:D

Well, if you suck at creating games on LBP, or you hate other peoples creations which aren't knockoffs, why would you buy it? That's like buying an FPS even though you despise FPS's

Looks like someone hasn't played it.
I'm preordering the CE as soon as I can- this is gonna be awesome!
Just like the first, bad gameplay is going to let it down. You can have the most robust level creation tools on the planet, but if the basic gameplay/platforming is sub-par, you'll end up with a sub-par game full of crappy user created levels. People go crazy about all these super creative things people come up with in LBP1 and the beta of 2 or levels that poorly imitate other games, but nobody points out levels that actually have good gameplay. You know what the most competent user level I've seen so far in the LBP2 beta is? The micro machines level. And even that isn't as good as Micro Machines. It has competent enough controls and gameplay for me to call it a decent enough multi player level, though certainly nothing special. Everything else I've seen is either a terrible imitation of a game with bad controls and gameplay or the kind of level that makes you say, "Wow, it's cool that guy was able to make that" but the gameplay in that level is crap. Point out a series of levels in LBP2 that have good gameplay and I'll get excited.
Despite the fact I hated the original LBP, I was actually fairly excited for the sequel when it was first announced. If they could fix the problems with the first and make the game have good platforming controls it had potential to be a great game. But the more of the game I saw the more I was disappointed. I've seen nothing of LBP2 to convince me that it's worth my time. Including the videos in this thread.

I have played little big planet's story mode and put 2 hours into creation mode and that was it.

That never happened in the first game. The opposite happened, companies approached them and asked them not to moderate levels based on their franchises.

Also, a few companies I can't mention approached us and said, "we want to whitelist ourselves. Please, unless we get really, really offended and come and tell you, we want you to whitelist our levels and never pull them." Like, gaming IP holders. And that was an awesome reaction, to have that level of understanding and support, that the game industry understands that a good level in LittleBigPlanet is a good thing for your IP.
Thanks for that.

Based on that alone LBP2 shouldn't have a chance :P

Could've sworn a lot of the Nintendo levels were removed.

Cheap knockoffs? Every game has something personal from each creator. This game is the king of all games, you can make mmorpg's, mario, finalfantasy7(even better actually), and I even found a remake of the first season of E.R (emotional rollercoaster it was).So you want me to buy a game, in which I have the tools to make my own game, but the end result will be a cheap knockoff?
