Little Big Planet not kiddy?

I was just thinking of something and decided to make a topic here about it. I was thinking "Hmm, I find it a bit strange that so many people enjoy dissing Nintendo by labeling them with a kiddy image, yet those same people get mushy for Little Big Planet?" Anyone else ever thought the same? I don't think I've heard anyone say "Yep, one for the kiddies there."

Not that I don't want Little Big Planet to do well. I think the game looks awesome. I hope it succeeds. It could be a game that interests me a little more in getting a PS3, which is still a long shot though. But anyways, just a thought.

LBPwill have a sense of depth and community that Cooking Mama, Ninjabread Man, Viva Pinata, and all that stuff can never, EVER compete with.

LBP's art style is designed in a way that seems kiddish, but really, is just charming.

Kinda agree with that. LBP is one of the games that i think less,far less than others atm. Even if will score 9.0++ wont bother that much. And NO,i wont do BASH-Wii topics because will score 9.0!! Unlike some sheeps doin all the time because of Brawl.

I will be buying LBP for sure why are some posters worried if a game looks kiddy???? Is it ruining your image..... are you scared of what people think.... Damm if a game is good its good if its plays well it plays well....... Who gives a damm if it looks kiddy or not

You see, i can enjoy a kiddy game from time to time. And I can do that because the bulk of my playing is on hardcore/adult games. I'm in no way locked into kiddy games.

On the Wii, on the other hand, the bulk of your play IS with kiddy games. Its rarity on that console to get a good third-party adult game. I couldn't live with that.

Viva Pinata is nuts when it comes to depth. So much trial and error when trying to get something new.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought this game was going to be all about developing your own levels with tools the game provides. You can even download maps that other people have created.

I understand it looks cute but the gameplay is just a bit different than what you are seeing on the Wii. Honestly I would be surprised if any of the Wii owners that purchased that console for the kiddie games would be intrested in this game. It seems this is more of a puzzle/level creater type game which I would think wouldn't appeal to those type of casuals that play cooking mama or scooby doo.

system wars is full of hypocrits

it is a bit kiddy, but it does look fun .. cows won't mind the kiddiness because of the fun

but then some of them won't want to touch games like SMG because they think they're a bit kiddy, even though they are fun

LBP hits with adults because they are inspired to create and share. Just look at the reaction to the game from adults who are game reviewers and game developers ...... they are excited about it. These aren't just 13 year old girls on message boards going wild over it ...... gamers of all ages have shown interest.

I want to see what I can make and I want to see what others create. Although it is not the most complex game , I still want to run through it and have a fun , and doing it with my family or friends looks like it would be a good time.I already have some ideas for making a level themed and dedicated to System Wars. :o

If you are interested in the game but are embarrassed about it threatening your manhood ..... time to grow a pair ..... or just secretly buy it and stash it when you are not playing it.:P Keep in mind that it could also help you score with the ladies , just like teh blu-rey playa !
