Is it really any competition?
Although, I might get the biased excuse, because of my signature. =/

no its not spore is just to great (will be)
[QUOTE="MojondeVACA"]Spore is something new.. not a GMod ripoff.verbtex
I was thinking Spore looked like a Sims game except with monsters.
Will Wright did want to call it Sim Everything originally, but nah it doesn't conform to any single Sim game.
It really doesn't conform to any single genre.

Hmm...may explain my initial thought on the game.
But even then, I can't judge too much based off the 3 gameplay videos I saw.
LBP, but i will be buying both, making levels and enemies and bosses will be cool, spore will get boring eventually because you'll be doing the same thing alot such as taking over planets etc, where as LBP will have alot of new content all the time to keep it fresh (hopefully).jonesy1911
rofl, have you even seen what spore is about? or read on the plans for the future? spore will be still going strong ( like the sims) long after LBP has faded away into a fond memory.
In Spore you do much more than create the creatures.Hmm..in LBP you create the levels
in Spore you create the creatures.
hmm...

You create a Species. And it actually has 19 different editors, with CC being only one of them.

unfortunately, like most other things PC, the ignorance towards PC spore is immense. Console gamers think its sims with creatures and LBP is truly revolutionary.

My YouTube videos complete with spore creatures, so don't try and make me look a fool as if im going to comment on a game i know nothing about, if you read my post you'd of noticed im actually buying both games, Spore is pre-ordered i have the Spore CC and made lots O' creatures. So please read before implying I know nothing about the game.

Well i am sorry. Although i still think spore will outlast LBP. Lets face it, they don't like to support console games with free stuff for too long, they just want to make money. which usually means sequals. If sims is anything to go by we can expect millions of free user made downloads for the spore as well as retail addons for years to come. Thats was my point, sorry i made it in a poor, offensive way.

this is exactly what i meant by ignorance towards spore. You dont just create the creatures, thats just a tiny part of it.
LBP looks great, i will be buying it. However it still sounds very limited to me. You create levels, side scrolling platform levels.
Spore, well, you create everything, you control evolution from single cell to space exploration. You can do so so so much with this game. LBP may be unique to PS3, maybe even to console. Spore is going to be unique to gaming.

He implies it because saying things like 'doing the same thing alot such as taking over planets' and then saying 'LBP will have alot of new content all the time to keep it fresh' shows you don't know how Spore is going to work. Make as many videos as you wish but you still don't seem to get the underlying mechanics.

U seem to have missed out on e3. Yes I think spore may be more original but most of the praises from e3 were talking about LBP. Yes even with gears 2, resistance 2 and fallout 3 and all these other big games LBP impressed the most at e3. Spore may sell more than LBP but I think LBP will also sell well but also be a better all around game. Also I wouldnt be suprised if LBP is game of the year. Ill be getting both games but from what I been hearing, most of the praise and awards for best game at e3 is going to LBP so far.
What I've seen Spore is nothing but a civilization game with monsters that you can interact with. LBP is totally different. And will be alot better for what it is. Spore is going to be great also but like I said its just a civilization game .GreyFoXX4You obviously havn't seen much then.

My opinion that I'll get bored of spore before LBP, I shall make all the videos i want too and i understand exactly what you can do with spore and it's mechanics, I also said LBP will have new content all the time to keep it fresh hopefully, it might not it could get boring pretty fast, I'm extremely excited for both games and can't wait to play them all but one thing that I like about LBP is the co-op.If spore was on PS3 and the same version as PC all cows would be as hyped as they are for LBP. Personally spore is the one im looking forward to. Looks simply amazing. LBP also looks interesting so will probably get both. Frozzik
not really, LBP would still be more anticpated because it is exclusive. Getting a multiplat isn't as big of a deal IMO. That's why a lot of cows suddenly stopped hyping FF13.
Apples vs. oranges grudge match.Danm_999
This.
There's more to do in Spore, but LBP is much more user-friendly imo, you can fire it up and play, Spore you have to do some things first before getting into the real meat of the game.
I'll be getting both and they're both amazing, but for the pick up and play aspect i picked LBP.
you choose!PSfanboy101You can't be serious. This is a no contest contest. SPORE easy. I will get both, but LBP has nothing on SPORE.
