Little Big Planet - Your Opinion? Very Kiddy?

I deleted this post cuz i think too many people took offence to it and was taking it way out of context, and i didnt mean for that.

LBP looks like its going to be a fun game, but really AAAA hype? I understand it has some "fun" and "cute" elements to the game

but cows are exadurating this game soo much. Well, to cows my question is do you realy want LITTLE BIG PLANET to get a 10!?

And my question to everyone else is What do you think about the hype for this game, too much or too little?

Remember, "kiddy" dose not meen bad, just a more cartoonish game which younger people would more likely play. My all time

favorite series of games is Dragonball Z, which is kiddy. My favorite game as a kid was mario, and hell i would still play and love it.

Dont take this as an insault to LBP, and no i am not a lemming.

I'm not talking about the thread poster, but I think people like that fear being seen playing "cute" or "kiddie" games because they think its gay or something. The way they live their life isn't enough to make people think they aren't gay and playing games like this will likely remove all doubt from everyone's mind.

Thats the only logical I can think of.

Fun games should be played by gamers regardless of anything. Question how "hardcore" or "core" a gamer is when he tells you that you shouldn't play games that are fun.

I actually think the cute look helps it. I remember watching the vid where Sackboy saved the princess and then the princess pushed SB into the fire. Dark Humor ftw!

Also, would you prefer sackboy to be hold a gun, killing cops, aliens, demons, or satan himself? even though its funny to think about, these kind of games are always good.

I agree. I don't own a Wii, but I would be first in line if SMG came out for the 360. Games I enjoyed in my youth are still good games, even if the package is "kiddie."

On the surface it looks kiddy, but its part of the charm. The sackobys are just the gimmick to deliver the creativity and good looking platforming.TheGrat1

....This is not your game then..... Jeez, not every game has to be a bloody violent shooter to make you happy, that'd be boring if that's all we had in video games.

You should direct your focus to a game like Gears of War 2 or Resident Evil 5 if you have nothing good to say about this game. Because I have no idea why you would bother researching and saying crap about this game in the first place if you already knew it looked "kiddy" in the first place.

Spore is E10+, and it looks 100x more like pokemon and people are hyped for that too... Helbrec

I agree with you.. Too much games are going for the serious realistic look. What happened to games that was a simple pick up and play games, instead we get games that is intense on the blood and gore factor, which is all well and good, but not something I would like if that's all gaming is going to be.

I'm not sure what I like the most about LBP.

I like the different aspect to it from the usual console game.

I like different game every once in a while.

Sure, shooters, gore, blood, and naked bodies all over the place are pretty cool games, but I need a little refreshment, and this just may be the game that I use to escape from the world.

They sell better. But then again, sales don't necesarily mean their better. It all comes down to personal preference and choice of games. Just because you don't understand why a game is hyped, doesn't mean you should call it kiddy. It just has a more casual taste to it compared to a lot of the games that are released on the market today.

Anyway, I'm not a cow. I don't own a PS3, and don't know if I will get one or not. But to me, LBP looks like a lot of fun. If you're into creating things, you have a lot of freedom with the levels that you make, and can share them with other people. If you're not into creating things, then you'll still have a lot of content between the pre-made levels and the levels made by other users. It will have a lot of different possibilities. Granted, with the recent flop of Spore, there's a chance that this will also flop despite being one of the most innovative games of the generation, and a very fun looking game. If I do ever get a PS3, this will definitely be the first game I get.
