crysis outsold 1M back in January http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/99063-25-crysis-sales-exceed-million

CRYSIS is on PC, its pirated. LBP is not. LBP = FLOP.

Also = Gears 2 outsold all PS3 exslusive3

Because literally all the Cows were saying it would sell over 3 million before the end of the year. And it's only just passed the 1 million mark. We'll just ignore Gamespot's score for a second and call it a flop.

Shows how much you know. Crysis surpassed 1.5 million sales half a year ago.

I wouldn't care if it sold 6 copies or 6 million. Sales won't hinder or enhance my time with the game. LittleBIGPlanet is a great game, and that's all that matters to me.

You are comparing a high-end PC game WITHOUT TV marketing to a console game with tons of TV marketing, it's laughable by how little of a margin their sales were.

About the same rate as Crysis. I don't understand the TC. There's one factor that works against LBP in this comparison, and its that Crysis has long legs. As average PC hardware catches up the Cryengine 2, people will pick up the game just to test their new rigs, since its still THE graphical benchmark. LBP on the other hand, will be overshadowed by other exclusives like God of War 3, Infamous, Killzone 2, Resistance 2, etc.

I am feeling bias coming from you. Crysis and LBP are not flops of any sort, they are both great games and appeal to a very different play style. Anyone who thinks otherwise is basing it on either fanboyism or never have played the game. Crysis and LBP and gears 2 (since THEBIGF brought it in) are all critical acclaimed game.

Yeah PC games continue to sell, whereas console players always move onto the more popular and newest game.

No source has ever officially confirmed that its sold a million. Hell, the game has fallen off top 10 lists in virtually all regions and has only sold .4 million copies in the US to date.

I'm not to sure about what you say about Crysis TC. :?

But in the case of LBP, it lived up to critical hype (AAA on Gamespot and Gamerankings) and it's only typically for fanboys to find any flaw they can in the game. In this case, since cows hyped it as the uber system seller, the fact that it didn't crack a million in the blank of an eye makes it a "Sales Flop".

Crysis came out in mid November 2007. February 1st was the EA earnings report about Crysis breaking 1 million, however, their number were probably based off of 1-2 week old numbers. That means 2 months.

Second, your link is about Crysis, he was talking about LBP.

Also, by July they had sold 1.5 million copies. And it has continued to sell fairly well.

EA January Annual Earning conference pegged it over a million and seeing it released in various locations in from Nov 13-23 ....so it's safe it to say it reached a million status in about 2 months or so

First, for the Crysis breaking 1 million in 2 months, it was mentioned in an interview somewhere.... The EA earnings report is where MOST places first reference it breaking one million, but it had actually done it a month or so before.

Second, your link is about Crysis, he was talking about LBP.

horrowhip

Have you come across actual sales numbers or some sort of link? Or is it something you just remember:P ? Secondly, I had no idea he was talking about LBP, he's quoting someone talking about Crysis' sale numbers then goes off to state they dropped off the chart; one would think he's refering to said game.

check my edit....

November 13th - February 1st is 2.5 months. But it is likely that EA's numbers were OVER 1 million and were based off of 2-3 week old numbers(they don't get the numbers back in on a daily basis). I also imagine EA wants to have numbers they are fairly certain about, so using 2-3 week old numbers is a safe bet.
