LMAO If Nintendo's NX Ends Up Crushing the Competition

Let's face it we all know the Wii-U was a bomb compared to it's predecessor, and it's competition.

However Nintendo is not known for making such errors two times in a row, so wait and see i bet by E3 of next year people will be predicting the demise of X1 and PS4, after Nintendo's conference.

I don't really care if it crushes the competition, I just want it to be a good console. I will likely buy it in any case (Unless it is absolutely horrid).

See: Playstation and Virtual Boy. The N64 - GC era is also considered a relative failure, albeit Nintendo itself wasn't terribly harmed.

Every console has it's short comings in one way or another, but as far as the pros out weighing the cons, the 64 was no failure.

I wouldn't mind Nintendo having a more streamlined controller and a more powerful console so that I can get N exclusives and 3rd party games on the same platform....but seriously.....I don't know if I want Nintendo to have such power.

With the way they deal with youtube and their Miibos or whatever they're called...not sure if they should have a good hold on the industry again.

The actions took by Nintendo with that system are why they still have shit third party support to this very day. That is a definite legacy of failure. Every Nintendo console has done successively worse than the previous ones, except the Wii and we all know now just how big of a dumb luck fluke that was now because Wii U's numbers are exactly where they should be had Wii not become a fad and sold in diminishing numbers like the GC and N64 before it.

N64 cartridges and other factors drove away third parties so Nintendo conditioned the buyers of the system to only play and buy their first party games, so even when more third parties showed up, the games didn't sell and they left as quickly as they came.

I'll laugh my ass off if Nintendo makes it more powerful than PS4 & X1 several times over and yet developers still cater to the games still looking the same on PS4 and Xbox One, then I'll probably die laughing when third parties stop making games for it because nobody buys anything other than first party content.

Gimmicks, weak hardware and no 3party support...yeah goodluck Nintendo

I don't know, I will be happy and probably pretty angry, if they release a monster of a console. I like Nintendo games, am a former Ninty fanboy you could say, but at the same time they should have done it already this gen and not have bothered with shitty hardware in the first place.

With the exception of the Wii, each console they released sold less than its predecessor.

TC, the Wii was an anomaly. It won because of it's gimmick and still struggled in a lot of major areas.

There's nothing for the competition to worry about with Nintendo. They could have the perfect hardware, but Nintendo are the problem. There is no way Nintendo will crush the competition.

The hardware isn't the problem. Nintendo could make the Wii U work, it's excuses. There's nothing wrong with the hardware. It's poor that they're blaming the hardware and not themselves.

MS are making their poor X1 hardware work for them. Sony did it when they had the weakest hardware.

Nintendo don't listen to their customers and what they want, still telling them the consumer what they can have, not what they want. They're too afraid to push online to the standards the consumer wants. Nintendo don't listen to developers on what from their hardware in the design phase.And Nintendo has poor relationships with 3rd party afterwards.

The only thing PC has going for itself is technical prowess. It is no longer the platform of choice for the gaming industry in general. It doesn't have the sales figures nor the attention from devs to fully support it.

The gaming industry will collapse without consoles but can survive without PC. A harsh fact

That explains why a vast majority of exclusives from both of the twins end up on PC. Because PC is doomed.

Thats twice in a row .. and if you think that anyone in the world , Nintendo included , could predict what happened with Wii ... then you fooling yourself. Noone could beleive what was happening with Wii sales wise ... It was the biggest "bubble" in gaming history even if bubble or not made awesome sales.

What makes you think NX will crush competition ? If they dont get their shit straight to focus on NEW IPS , 3rd parties , provide a solid hardware ... forget it. You cant have 2 bubbles.

WTF are you talking about? The GC was a great console and some amazing titles during its life time. RE Remake, Metroid Prime series, Mario Sunshine, Eternal Darkness, Phantasy Star Online, StarWars Rogue Leader......

Nintendo's only systems with third party support are their handheld, that's why they have to create a hybrid system and pray it works at catering to the market. But this is Nintendo and they never cater to the market.

I have no doubt that Nintendo can dominate in that department. They got that shit on lock down. They are the king of no games.

the snes started nintendo's downfall. They lost 50% of the share every generation since the nes, if the wii didn't exist, the graph would be a nearly perfect downward line.

But the fact they are hiding there stuff so as "They don't steal they're ideas" means its not based on more power , but a gimick is coming again.

I hope it does, otherwise Nintendo is going the way of the dodo bird just like Sega.

Sure, they'll still make games for the other platforms (no one is just going to allow huge flagships like Mario and Zelda to die). But this is definitely their last chance in the console market.

As long as it's BC I will get it cause my boys will see it and want and I will eventually get it for them and it's an excuse I use to warrant the purchase so I can also get the few Nintendo games that interest me.

and Wii, so that makes 3 mistakes in a row, Wii may have sold a lot but one of it´s flaws was the motion controller, looked awesome at the beginning but once you have it is not that awesome in the final run.

But still, Nintendo does have some cool games, the problem is not the games, is with what you play them.

Fail logic right there. Exclusives are becoming multiplat because publishers are trying to maximize profit. So if a game is going to PC, it means the sales from the PC platform (however small it may be relative to the console platform) outweigh the cost to port it. It's as simple as that. But just because the PC sales justify the porting of it, it does not imply that the PC as a platform stands on equal ground with consoles in the publisher/developer's eyes.

And I never said PC is doomed, but merely lesser variable in the equation
