what good are sales if they aren't bringing any games? The reason many people don't want a wii is because there are just no good games. Casuals are the ones buying it and they don't know a good game if it bit them on the ass (just look at Mario Party 8 )

Nobody knew the Wii was going to obliterate the PS3 and 360. Developers were taken by surpirse, and it will take a while for them to play catch up. Welcome to reality.

Even Nintendo's dropping the ball with both their development, and publishing. Mario Party 8? Wii Play? Brain Age? Excite Truck? Fire Emblem? Not to mention all the half-baked third party titles. The Wii's game library is passable at best.

If not, you must honestly have a ton of extra money to spend. Do yourself a favor, and upgrade your PC, buy an Xbox 360, or buy a PS3 with that money (if you haven't already). The Wii is considered a 'secondary console' for a reason: much like Nintendo's previous consoles, there's no end to the drought of good games. I say all this without bias for or against Nintendo, as I've purchased their past 3 consoles (that would include the Wii), yet I clearly show no strong devotion to the brand.

Actually if you want to talk about pure money, the ps3 and xbox360 combined generated $106,100k in revenue. The wii (by itself) only generate about $84,500k. But yes, the wii did sell more consoles than the ps3 and 360 which pretty much sucks for the 360 and ps3 (especially ps3)
the fact that damn near half of the front page's topics on system wars are fanboy wii-bashing rants is just a testament to how mad the fanboys are getting due to it's success

Um, since you are talking about people who just bought their Wii's and not people who have owned it since launch they are probably playing Zelda: Twilight Princess, Super Paper Mario, Trauma Center, Madden 07, SSX Blur, Godfather: Black Hand Edition, Warioware, Excite Truck, Elebits, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07, Call of Duty 3, Rayman: Raving Rabbids, Sonic & Secret Rings, etc.
