I agree sheep make love to sales data. It's pathetic. Wii should not be selling as well as it is, but then again i give creit to Nintendo for appealing to grandma's. I don't think it's hardcore gamers(nintendo fans aside) buying Wii's every month.Riviera_Phantom
What does it matter if it's casual or hardcore gamers buying the Wii? Casuals make up 90+% of the gaming populace. Hardcores don't push consoles and don't really matter a lot to console makers. Seriously, we casual gamers look down on hardcore gamers big time. You guys know exactly how we view you.

HAHA, casual on a gaming forum? If you think people dont look at you the way u look at hardcore gamers, you're deluded...

The difference is, I'm not offended when a gamer looks down on me because I don't spend a disproportionate amount of my time obsessing over graphics, and gameplay. Casual gamers a bit more well-rounded in their lives. I played football in High School. I wasn't in the marching band. I picked on you guys when I was a kid, not the other way around. At the end of the day, gamers have their consoles to go home to. I have a girl friend to come home to.

Well you were the one that made the assumption i was a hard core gamer. Im 17 years old, still in high school and im on here trying to avoid homework (final year!!!). I have a girlfriend, play AFL (aussie version of grid iron) and cant march for s***.
The Wii has some good games. They have to be AAA to be considered good.blizzvalve
So far im disapointed in the Wii. It just seems too gimmicky. The best game i can see for it in the near future is SSB and it doesnt even make use of the motion control. In terms of sales Nintendo are succeding, but i think either the controls are just bad, or developers arent taking full advantage.

So how are all you sheep enjoying playing your sales, thats right you cant, get some games and then come back to system wars.birdman2111Yeah right, I bet that if your preffered console gets to be number 1 in sales you will be running around all over SW gloating.

Dude I consider myself casual...I play maybe 3 hours maybe no hours a week...depending if theirs a good game out. And even i think nintendo is waaaayyyy to casual. Just becausegames aren't my #1 passtime dosen't mean I can't appreciate a quality game with top notch graphics and gameplay.

I won't say MP3 is gimmicky

what? do you think it's cool to be casual? Casuals are guys who don't understand nothing about gaming which explains their "taste" for sports games and easy to play games.
I don't consider myself an hardcore gamer but i'm definitely not a casual gamer and i hate those kind of games, why? because i can play sports in real life, i have swimming classes in real life i play football with my friends yet when i'm alone at home and i have nothing else to do i play games, but only good games. Do you think i look nerdy because i like to play good games? Tell that to my classemates who find me atractive  .
Crytek said they'd do something for Wii in the future. They stated about 3-4 years, but nothing right away. Gabe Newell (Valve) stated that it was a mistake that they're not supporting the Wii right now.
The point is, do you think these developers would have said ANYTHING at all if the Wii didn't have its sales? Hell no.
yea but then again, they still arent supporting wii, they want too cash in on the cash cow that is wii but like you said thats a few years down the line. wii needs more good games soon to be taken seriously by the hardcore gamers, not exclusives just good multiplats will do. even ps3 has good multiplats at half the sales of the wii. for now its good first party games and shovelware/minigames for the most part on wiiCrytek said they'd do something for Wii in the future. Lol at Lemmings and Cows and THEIR sales. Sales = Long Term Indicator of Success. Come back when your console has a future.
Ford sells more cars than Ferrari. Does that mean Ford is a better car?jbeen
Vehicles aren't dependant on third-party developer support to make the purchase worthwhile. Game systems are, however. Good sales now = more developer attention in the future. It's a simple equation.

Edit: This is true, and this is the reason why Wii can win the overal number of systemssold and still not win the war of games.
Sorry I was trying to type this and talk to someone at the same time.

You should probably edit your post. I'm having a little trouble trying to find any logic in it.

3rd parties arent having a lot of success on wii though, the nintendo games are overshadowing everything, and the hardware is holding a lot of talented devs back. its like comparing tommorrow's ferrari to a steam run car:lol:So how are all you sheep enjoying playing your sales, thats right you cant, get some games and then come back to system wars.birdman2111
I don't know about anyone else, but I'm enjoying my games. And I'll enjoy the ones I'm getting this year, and the next and so on. Grow up.
So how are all you sheep enjoying playing your sales, thats right you cant, get some games and then come back to system wars.birdman2111Yeah, cows have never used sales to try and claim ownage
It seems a bit odd that you're saying this so soon after the launch of MP3, and only a couple of months away from the releases of other great wii games.

We need good games?
Are you sir aware that Super Paper Mario, Resident Evil 4, Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess, Metroid Prime 3 Corruption, and my favorite Trauma Center are all available for purchase in retailers?
Plus the VC holds Ocarina of Time, Mario 64, Streets of Rage, Super Metroid, Star Fox 64, ...etc.
plus, you know you once were a casual too,... be it with the NES, or PS1.
And who says you're not casual right now?
You're obviously bashing another person's take on gaming (however deluded either of your opinions could or could not be)
and thats the most casual thing I can think of doing.
Why don't you enlighten him to some cool stuff? Not,...y'know bash.
