did they use a transit bus wheel or something for the design? is serious here this racing wheel for the move controller is larger than an actual steering wheel in overal diameter. and more importantly its the same design as an earlier leaked aptent. guess that means the odds of advertisements in-game and cluod based gaming patents will become a reality after all:lol:

http://www.joystiq.com/2012/06/29/the-tech-inside-the-playstation-move-racing-wheel-contraption/

more importantly it has DS3 and more buttons than an actual ps3 controller  welp there goes any hope for move.. your controller is now going to be as large as a plastic meal tray XD
seriously here you could probably do better in a DiY design using pieces of plastic and ducktape

Wtf is wrong with you TC? It's a perfectly normal looking peripheral. I'd try it if I owned move.

It actually looks very well thought out, and I'm interested in Move for the first time because of this TBH. Of course, it all comes down to what games will support it.

Don't like it? Don't buy it. I don't like PS move as i feel it is more aimed towards kids just like Kinect.

honestly I really like the move. I just don't like this. House of the Dead overkill, DeadSpace Extraction, RE dark chronicles, the shoot, sports champions are all great.

I posted this in the comments seciton of the article:

Who buys a racing wheel without forcefeedback now a days?

If you're going to use a wheel for the immersion/realisim factor, why would you not use a decent force feedback wheel vs this abomination?

If you don't care about realism or immersion in your driving games, then why not use the ever more accurate and trouble free, and comfortable gamepad?

Mind = boggled.

The only people who think this is a good idea are people who have never used a gaming wheel. Ever. And so it becomes just another useless peripheral to cash in on casual gamer Joe: ignorant consumer.

Seems like an ok peripheral that offers DS feedback and can be used for a lot of games (motorcycle and flight games). It might prove quite good for people who are into move and want more usage out of it. Honestly I don't care about it, but it's definitely not worth a bashing thread.

Yeah, my thoughts exactly. This is basically pointless, and that is assuming it has the accuracy (which it probably doesn't). Either get the real deal, or stick with your gamepad.

I feel the lack of a steering column would be an interesting exclusion, because the "wheel" would be able to move freely instead of being in a fixed location. Though the rumble, long throw triggers, and a good bit of accuracy should make this into a pretty good racing accessory.

Too bad that you cannot cement the wheel to something to give a more realistic feel.

Basically this.

But average Joe consumer doesn't want to pay $250+ for a good racing wheel plus whatever it costs for a decent table to mount the thing on, a PlaySeat or one of those RennSport stands Fanatec sells. That kind of thing is just too complicated for them, hence the necessity of things like this and the Microsoft wireless "racing wheel'...thing, or whatever.

But I totally agree that these things are silly. You get neither the immersion nor feedback a proper racing wheel would provide nor the precision or ease of use of a traditional controller so, in my mind, they're pointless.

It looks fine too me, seems like it would be perfect for LBP Karting.

The motorcycle function looks pretty cool too, I like that it even has the twist throttle.

If you don't like it, don't buy it. There are plently of other options for racing wheels.

this is what I thought as well. I'll never use it but a lot of thought was put into the design of this peripheral.

It looks like an industrial Bop It. Sony, don't copy the Wii Wheel, it wasn't that great anyway.

Yeah, that's great. But what about multiplayer games? This looks like a solid option for those who don't have a way to mount a wheel.

Pug-Nasty

it looks like a bad idea for storage and it also looks like a bad steeringwheel because its diamater is larger than an actual steering wheel. its alot closer to a steeringwheel in say a transit bus. as a result its going to feel awkward turning this will take alot of adjusting to for traditional users. the regular racing wheels are jsut alot more practical. nevermind the fact that its not more buttons than an actual ps3 controller meaning it got some wierd mappings more than likely specific to game mappings. making this a case specific buy for a genre the ps3 doesnt exactly have alot of selection for
