LOL @ Brutal Legend for GOTY.

I've heard people call this a contender for goty, I just downloaded the demo on PS3 and it sucks hard. This is the worst demo I've played since Too Human.

Ya the ending of the game was so predictable. I figured it out the moment I got the third vehicle.

You both are putting to much weight into a demo (assuming he is). All I can say is that I liked the demo and like the concept of the game. We'll see how how it goes. Perhaps it can be my GOTY , I wouldn't rule it out that it couldn't be based on a demo.

Let's wait for a review before deciding whether or not it could get anywhere near the shiny GOTY trophy.

Like Zelda meets Metallica... I loved the demo and once the game opens up it's sure to get 10 times better.

The campaign looks amazing, the multiplayer looks awesome, and the whole ****is just brimming with awesome.

All I know is I haven't had that much fun playing a demo in a really long time. This game is gonna rock so hard.

A demo is never a sure indicator for a game's overall quality, some people may love a demo and hate the full game, and vice versa. I do remember lots of hate on the inFAMOUS demo for having a boring train demo, only for various people to come back and say its one of the best experiences of the year.

Demo was awesome.

The gameplay was very varied, and the depth of the car was amazing (like handbraking)

it should be in contension the demo was very good and it brought a fresh taste into this predictable gaming market.

no GOTY for it. it as something different. but getting make me want to buy it. the only thing i really like was when i got to run over all those dudes.

And I don't think it would be wise to underestimate a tim schafer game based on a little bit of it, he is actually famous for making great games.

Not GOTY with awesome titles like Batman:AA, Uncharted 2, MW2, and [insert game here] but it definitely was a great demo. I'd love to get this game but sadly... my wallet is going to cry after Demon's Souls (Deluxe Edition), Uncharted 2, and MW2 (360 Hardened Edition).

From what I remember LBP wasn't recognized by "gamers" in 2008 and Scribblenauts was hyped for like 3 days after E3 and it died down after that. However, when people hyped it up to be GOTY it was shunned by many "gamers"

Now maybe the intelligent people didn't shun these two titles but majority did.

I wouldn't be surprised if GoW3 and GT5 don't get recognized by these "gamers" because it doesn't have guns. Then we will see more threads about how there's no variety and how this gen sucks, same old stuff as everyday.

Although I agree that from what I played of the demo it's not going to be a GOTY canidate...

If you where to ever call people who like me and the main character who listen to such music such as Sabbath, Slayer, Amon Amarth, Judas Priest, God Dethroned, Byzantine, Death, At The Gates, Carcass, Megadeth, Pantera, Immortal, Satyricon, etc "Emo" to thier face you might get knocked out.

Death Cab For Cutie or what ever and Iron Maiden are not the same genre, or fanbase.
