previews of the game have been nothing but positive about the combat system. In fact they said while on paper it looks and sounds simple, but it has its own deep and complex scheme as well.
And seriousaly Cows hype Killzone. the sequal to a piece of trash game.
While Fable 2 is the sequal to a AA game that did very well in sales as well.jg4xchamp
i can't see one button combat being complex or deep no matter how you look at it.

Previews are almost always positive, no matter what. I'll wait until a review from someone who has played for hours with this setup before taking any word on it. At this point, 1 button combat sounds stupid no matter how you slice it.
And yeah, you would think Cows would learn about hyping every game they see. But this thread isn't about Flopzone.

Single button combat? thats just terrible. i was looking forward to eventually getting this game too. It has flop written all over it. whats this game hyped again?Zero5000X
How is it terrible if it works? An interactive fight and having to strategically think of where your at in the environment could very well change the way combat works in games. It looked pretty good in the demo's they have shown off, but they still got a long time to polish it all and make it look great. Im not going to totally go with it and say its going to be amazing but Im defiantly going to give it a chance since I think it has some potential. Though I do expect those people that are just button mashing hack and slash people wont really enjoy it as much as those who actually try and play how its supose to be played.
didnt oblivion have single player combat?BillGates_Money
Single button combat not player. Anyway yes it had one button combat if you dont coun t the shield, though Elder scrolls game never has been about button combos or stuff like that. This idea is diffrent, you have to use your enviroment acordingly and also the way you push the button also determines how you fight also. So instead of pushing BBYABXB to just slams someones head into the wall or to grab and throw an object you can just push the X button and its will do what you want if you poition yourself right in the fight.

Well thats your problem not mine. You must be some button masher that just likes to run around slashing everyone.
[QUOTE="Lonelynight"]Its actaully one of the games that makes me regret not having a 360, hopes it gets ported to the PCZero5000X
theres no doubt in my mind that it will.
Hope it gets ported in a year or so

The funny thing is that KZ2 has also gotten some good criticism.:? The A.I. is aggressive and the controls are smooth acording to GameInformer, Gamespot, and IGN.

i can't see one button combat being complex or deep no matter how you look at it.
I can't see your main argument being deep and complex at all either, Fable 2 is going to own, surefire AA.

i'm sure it will get AA. it will be better than blue dragon for sure. I don't think it will "own" anything though.

I lost respect for that man after he claimed that Lionhead Studios would not be bought out, yet a few days later they were. He is the biggest sellout in gaming history as far as I am concerned.

Guys Killzone is the Halo killer, remember?
Molyneux's got plenty of work to do if he wants people to take him and his games seriously again.
Using only one button for a huge variety ofactions is cool, but it'll be pretty difficult to pull off since people will likely end up doing things more accidentally and encounter difficulty doing what they want to do.

It will do, the first one did.
I'm counting on Mass Effect being ported to PC as well, KoTOR and Jade Empire were.
Its nice that you can use 360 gamepads with the PC too :D

If you use the analog sticks and the triggers it could be. We don't know how it's going to play, so you can't judge it until we at least play a demo.
