I would have been content if the controller was replacing the old one when you actually buy the console, but this is just more money I'll have to spend when I finally get a PS3. With the UK prices as high as they are right now that could be sometime.

no, Sony was being hypocritical. cows were mostly "well, too bad there's no rumble. no big deal though" and now that the PS3 is getting rumble, this is the case: "rumble is back? sweet." are you really going to hold that against other gamers?

I don't see anyone gloating about this or claiming ownage on this.

It's funny because it's true. PS3 should have had basic rumble to begin with, and not have sony sell old technology for high prices seperately.

It's not that the problem is "fixed". It's just funny to see cows bost about it being some kind of amazing feature when, for one, was on the 360 AND wii (which had motion controls and rumble. sony was being stupid saying rumble would interfere with motion sensing) and two, when they themselves said it was last gen.
