I don't know. I think if it's as versatile and accurate as they showed on the floor and in tech demos, then I think it might be worth $150. Probably not if you don't have a steady income or anything, but on my end I'm pretty excited. Remember the Rock Band kit? Now THAT was overpriced.

That is, assuming there are any arcade units left by then. Microsoft has already discontinued all older models of Xbox and are only manufacturing slims now. Unless they've got a few hundred k Arcade units stockpiled for a holiday bundle with Kinect, I doubt that anyone will be able to buy the full setup for $300. The cheapest I can see them offering it for is $400, since they may take the HDD out of the 360 slim and sell it as the 360 Slim Arcade for $250, which means that with the Kinect it would be $400. And then you end up with this:

Mom: "So it costs $400 just to play this!? Wait, what's that thing over there?"

Clerk: "Oh, that's the PS3 bundle. It comes with a camera, a controller, and the special Move motion controller."

Mom: "Wait, so they both come with cameras, but this one comes with two controllers?"

I agree...I'm not sold on Kinect either but do we have to go around making posts about the advertising on Nickelodeon. Who cares how much money MS is spending on advertisement, they are a MEGA company its what they do. Last I checked it isn't our concern as to how MS spends there money we are not consumer advisors for them are we? Also as a silly as it sounds mis-spelling a word such as ridiculous, helps to dilute credibility in my eyes just a bit. In the same way that when people slam MS and Kinect they call it "Kinetic". Oh well at least I haven't seen that mistake in this thread. :)
