Looking to buy a new console, but I have questions....

So I have been an avid PC gamer now for about 2 years and the last system I owned was the PS3 (slim 160gb model). I have been more of a playstation gamer throughout the years although I did start out really on Nintendo in the 80's. My quesiton is right now with my vast library on my gaming pc rig, which is an expensive gaming pc, I would like to get a home console to game on as well. I have been looking at my choices right now and it seems as though I should really think about getting a next-gen console at this time. The problem is, that the systems are all pretty much sold out online for launch, the PS4, and XBOX One and on eBay and other sites they are charging a ton! I also have to look at the games coming out such as Watch Dogs, Assassin's Creed IV, Battlefield 4, CoD: Ghosts and they would all look better, even compared to the next-gen systems on my gaming PC. I am looking to get a console mainly to play titles that I CAN'T play on my PC such as sports titles and platformers. I really did like the Playstation Network and I did also have an XBOX 360 for a decent amount of time and I did enjoy some of the platform titles such as Gears of War and HALO, but not as much as the Playstation ones such as Final Fantasy games. It really leaves me to the options of basically getting the new "Super" Slim PS3 for awhile and getting a real good deal on one cheap because of the arrival of PS4 in November and playing that for awhile until prices go down on the PS4, or just kind of spending a little bit more for the PS4 now and try to get it at launch. I do have the money for it but I am just trying to make sense of all of this. I was also looking at the Wii U and the new Mario games, Zelda games and stuff and they do look fun and they would definitely be a "BIG" change for me not playing Nintendo games for awhile, also something I've been thinking about.

What do you guys think of my predicament, don't be afraid to give me your opinions! Thanks guys!

2. Do some research on your own about each console, and make your own decision based on what matters more to you.

I have done research on the consoles and I know what games I like on each one, I feel that the XBOX ONE would almost just be another gaming PC in my house and I have never been a big HALO fan and most of the other games on the console would be coming to PC anyway. The Playstation 3/4 however I would love to get my hands on Final Fantasy XV, as well as some of the other exclusives on that system and also the sports games. The Wii U would be a different way to go for me, and I have not owned a Nintendo system in awhile, had the original Wii for about a year, didn't use it much, was away at college at the time. Maybe even getting a PS3 for awhile until price drops on ps4s would be a good idea because there are some good titles still coming to the ps3, plus the price will be great now to get one? I can play Madden, and other titles for awhile too still, or would it make more sense to go with Nintendo Wii U, even though there's not much of a library for it at the moment, but the Zelda Wind Waker HD looks promising, plus the new Zelda and the Mario/Luigi games and new Smash Bros, etc.

yeah paragraphing? this isn't english class, this is just a public forum buddy, I'm not writing for a newspaper here, nor do I care to put extra effort into writing a response for you people, especially now because of that lame kind of bs responses, except for the one guy :)

Nah, you are putting in the effort so someone like me who came into the thread to give you a response could actually help, but I'm not gonna read a block of text like the opening post with no breaks.

God some people on this forum are awful. Dude, wait it out until early next year and get a PS4. Stick with your rig and hammer the awesome Betas that are available for it right now Do not, under any circumstances believe that the xbox 190 is the answer too your question. Its not so much a bad piece of kit, Its Microsoft that are the Issue. Can't trust them... and we know they don't have your best interests in mind. You'll here people say "what? and Sony does?" .. no maybe not... but at least they know what we want and ave figures out that if they give us what we want, they make lots of money And yea, not lvl 10... its sucks :(RedentSC

As far as TC goes, it sounds like you have made your decision. If you don't think the Xbox is too different from your PC (it is) than buy a PS4.
Compare exclusives and multiplatforms between the two, features between the two, and make your own decision.

You don't want anyone on this forum to mislead you with their biased natures. 

You won't find any real advice in SW. You'll get a lot of bias replies on why one person things their favorite system is superior to the others. lol!!

My only advice is to by the console that has the games and genres you like to play on it. It's really not about the hardware, but the GAMES.
