from this handons of the thing done by 1up it seems like this thing isn't that bad like we had thought it was gonna be

extra buttons is always nice, plus the thing actually looks really comfortable and now that i see them holding it in the video, i think it could be alittle better for in home use....i too have big hands so holding something bigger would feel better and then when i wanna game on the go i just take the 3DS out and go

color me shocked

still ugly as sin...looks like the 3DS has a tumor, lol...but hey, as long as it's comfortable like they say it is, then i'm all for buying one

Nintendo dun pulled an Apple, lulz (aka. deliberately ommitted a desireable feature so they could sell a "slim" version later. Akin to the Iphone not getting a video camera until the 3GS)

It makes it look big and awkward, especially when closed. Do not want. I think I'll live just fine using touch screen for camera controls.

well that's what i thought too when i first saw it...but from their impressions, i guess it isn't really that awkward at all and is great for people with bigger hands

and idk why you'd have the 3DS in the thing when it's close anyways? lol

Well, I might close the lid and put the 3DS down to play at a later time. I meant "look awkward" as in the design. I'm pretty sure it's comfortable, but my small-average hands play the 3DS just fine. This won't fit in my pocket. and it makes my 3DS look ugly. Those are the main reasons I won't be getting it or taking it out in public.

How could it be bad if it only improves the system/games? However it should have been included from launch, no extra addon should be needed, people were stating this before 3DS launch.

hahaha...funny thing is...that's just about the ONLY reason i take my 3DS anywhere is to get streetpasses and play coins...so yea, i've contributed quite a bit to the community :P

as far as playing games on it goes in public...idk, just not my thing...i like quiet and solitude when i game

trying to play an in depth game like an RPG or something in public with all the noise...that's just a no go for me, lol

At the rate that I play games I have about 2 years worth of backlog on the DS. I can wait.

It's nice that it seems like a decent product, however I still don't want it. I haven't felt like I've needed a second circle pad and that extra bulk doesn't look appealing.

yea i can agree with that....there aren't too many games out right now that i think would highly benefit from it

it will be ineresting to see how many game in the future will end up using it though

i wonder if games from now on will have control schemes to cater to both 3DS users who have the add on and those who don't...or just one or the other?

The 3DS should've had dual analog sticks from the start. The PSP showed the shortcomings of not having one very clearly. I will wait until they remodel the system and include dual analog sticks in the design which hopefully they're smart enough to do. As long as there aren't any mandatory dual analog stick games I won't say another word about it.

I think it will work great but I don't want a bulky piece of plastic attached to my 3DS. I loved the sleak design, that's why I didn't wait for a Lite version. I regret that now.

I agree. Looks like it won't fit in your pocket anymore. I would like to see them un-attach it too since most games won't be using those features.

The guys on the 8-4 podcast said it was uncomfortable and heavy. Most of them decided to play MH without it but one guy new to the series prefers using the circle pad over touch screen controls.

With it being an *optional* peripheral, the big question is how, or rather IF, the developers are going to support that 2nd analog.

Is there a list of games? I can imagine the big guns ie. Monster Hunter will definitely implement this. How about existing games?

List at the bottom. Doesn't seem to support existing games, but the list are all upcoming games (at the time, MH has released now)
