Their style of development forces them to.
No they can always change their development style like back than when they switch platforms of the final fantasy series from nintendo to the playstation.
Not at all. The Wii's graphical capabilities are nowhere near the level Square-Enix wants, and they've been known to whore out a system for all its graphical worth. Just watch a Final Fantasy VII commercial on Youtube. And the Xbox 360 could suffice graphically, but Square Enix is a Japanese company which caters to a Japanese genre. Neither one is strong with the 360, meaning that developing for it would prove unsuccessful for them. The PS3 is (moderately) popular in Japan and pumps out the graphics.
Arent they making a FF game for the wii :? a Full fledged sequel to Crystal chronicles and a wiiware game aswell ?The focus of Crystal Chornicles was never graphics but a multiplayer experience, and I don't know anything about the WiiWare project. But the Nintendo is still getting the biggest games of all from Square: Dragon Quest games. These are the games that decide a battle in the System Wars. The only consoles to have won without it were those who came before its inception.
