If any of the three scrapped any of their features, fanboys would claim that they aren't important. So I guess so... I certainly enjoy rumble though... The only thing I can see as understandable is if sheep backed Nintendo in scrapping the friend codes :P

the PS3 contoller is lighter. thats about it. you dont even notice it after a while. it doesnt really matter now anyway since apparently rumble is comiing back to the console at some point.

First of all, senses is how you spell it not sences. Second of all, losing motion sensing could also be considered losing a sense. But somehow xbox 360 fanboys, feel more superior because its console has rumble for its first generation titles and doesn't feel jipped at all for being the only console without motion sensing. Thir of all,  PS3 is getting rumble by the end of the year.

It's nothing huge, but I like it.

It shouldn't a major factor on PS3 vs. 360.

I prefer the light weight of the ps3 controller over the 360's heavy weight even though it has rumble.

That is a typo, which is obvious. The c, and s aren't close to each other :o. Or fairly far apart.

well, if loss of rumble is bad, then I guess it's a good thing they're trying to re-publish it then :)

If you have it you like it because it just adds one more dimension to the game and that is hardly ever a bad thing, If you don't have it you just deal with it. I can't see it being the end of the world or anything. I bet at some point it will be put back in the sixaxis.

I don't really notice the fact that it's gone unless people make a post like this. But then again, I didn't notice Rumble was there even when it rumbled last gen. Once I got used to the rumbling, I never took notice that the controller was rumbling unless I placed it on a flat surface to do something else for a moment and then it started rumbling like crazy because of a cut scene as it made its way to try and fall off the edge of the table, lol.

I don't notice it at all, although that's probably because all my PS2 controllers didn't rumble either after some heated games of rushing attack.

I played resistance not too long ago and at first you feel like "WTF!? I cant feel my hands!" and that super light weight controller doesn't help either. You get used to it but after that you go and play gears or something else and it makes a HUGE difference.

IMO the PS3 controller really sucks big time this gen. The controller is way too light, no rumble, and motion sensing should not be on a "normal" controller. At least on the Wii you can swing the thing like a bat, or a golf club depending on what game you play.

it's not a big deal, it's kind of better in a way. for instance, if you have played call of duty 3 on360, the very last mission in the beginning with the turret gets SOOO annoying with the rumble on. in my opinion, rumble is more of an annoyance, and is completely unnecessary.

Please, rumble is not all that important. It's a pathetic attempt at force feedback. Until my controll can physically push my hands around, or give me some kind of resistance, like race wheels do, I won't care.

Not really, I turn rumble off in games that just mindlessly vibrate the controller, on the other hand, others make great use of it. Also after going surround sound, going back is more like loosing one of your sences than rumble-less.

Isn't going to the trouble of turning it off actually making it more of an annoyance than if you just left it on?

What? Options>controller>rumble off that's it, you don't have to do it again and I do that in games that make rumble really annoying.

Depends on the game really. Rumble sucks in San Andreas. If its Metal Gear Solid, then I guess you are correct.

But if I would to choose, I'd choose motion sensing.

i bet losing rumble is not like losing your sight like my father has, i would pick what you say carefully because its nothing like it, most people who've come to my house and played my ps3 haven't even noticed that the pad wasnt rumbling.

Get surround sound, a panasonic 20"+ HDTV, turn the bass up and you wont notice that much  . You will find pc gamers don't notice that much either. Im not just defending the ps3 here because in all honesty, it sucks, but rumble is just a nice feat., nothing more

But rumble is just soooo last gen. Sony said so. Why would you want something thats last gen?

This thread has gone retarded.  Its impossible to get a real answer because of so many fanboys saying rumble is the be all end all, and motion sensing is way better.  Personally, ive had rumble in my N64 and then it was amazing, now, its still nice, but nothing special.

I still think it should be there, more so then the sixaxis motion-sensing.  That was the most gimmicky, last minute add on ive ever seen.  i have yet to play a game on the PS3 where the motion sensing helped the immersion into the game, by making you feel like your actually doing whats going on-screen.  I mean, it should be called tilt-sensing, not motion sensing.  tilting ur controller side to side is nothing like swinging a baseball bat,id rather just hit A.  So dont use OMG MOTIONG SENSING to defend the lack of rumble, if u do that, it just shows u need the tilt control defense because u feel not having rumble is something u need to defend

Oh, and enough with the "my friend came over and didnt even notice no rumble" when u dont have a feature, u dont notice it, like when i play my 360, i dont go OMG, i notice no motion sensing...u notice things that are there, not things that arent.

After playing the PS3 I'll say i don't really at all miss the rumble, though it might be a problem for some Gran Turismo fans but yeah at first i thought it was really going to suck but it's not that bad at all i didn't notice it playing Motorstorm and Tony Hawks at the mall.
