I loved the online on the first one...but only if it was Team Snipers lol. It took forever to kill anyone otherwise.

how do you run? it says press L3 to run but my guy just crouches....I thought the demo was great. Do you know you can press x or square to grapple to get higher places? It's meant to play like an arcade game, and co op was definitely what the first one needed.

Don't know what you were playing but I thought the demo was great. And all the wet effects were top notch. Its the dry stuff that could use some work.

Agreed. It looked good overall though. I hope the PC version packs some of the extras Lost Planet 1 did.
Also, did anyone get a Monster Hunter Vibe playing the demo? Something about it reminded me of that series.
You may not have liked the demo but to call Lost Planet 2 (or even Lair for that matter) ugly and uninspired...I guess the perception of beauty is relative. REALLY relative
Ok i was bored lastnight going through demos on the Playstation store when i came across the Lost Planet 2 demo.. I thought I would download it to see if it was any good or not.. Ok after playing it online and offline for about 1 hour straight lastnight i came to the conclusion that its the most uninspring and ugliest game ive played since Lair. WOW, first the graphics.. the Graphics are just a mess and ugly with a very bad art direction.. It looks nothing like the original trailer that was shown a few months ago. The game play is extremely generic and very repetitive.. The enemy design is awful, it looks like a 5 year old came up with the enemy design. Plants,Grass, trees and such are very digital looking and just plain terrible looking. Basically to sum it up, Lost Planet 2 might be one of the worst games ive played this year, its a close one with Lair and LP2.. Atleast Lair had a very good musical score and a story line you could atleast comprehrend.Kennysolidsnake
Mate, that demo was a ****ing boss fight in an enclosed area, with absolutely zero dialogue. How can you compare a demo to a full games musical score and story!?
If there is one good thing about both games, its the visuals (especially Lair, which has nothing else going for it).
I call bollocks.

I did, except no where near as difficult. Makes waitinf for MH3 that much more difficult. Taking out giant creatures is always win.

So you are saying becuse he dosn't make games he is no entitled to criticise the ones he plays? Your logic suggest that review sites like Gamespot, Gametrailer and IGN ect. are not allowed to write reviews
3D is the best thing about it!I finished Lost Planet and thought it was a solid game , and I was interested in Lost Planet 2 for the co-op ..... but after playing the demo my interest is down heavily from where it was before. That Avatar game looks more interesting :o

Um...okay...uninspired....right...I don't remember being able to take on huge freaking monsters with friends..

Off-topic, but the MH3 hype level is dissapointingly low. I for one cannot wait for its NA release...
Graphics were horrible! :o Maybe If I re-play the demo on drugs listening to Greatful Dead they will seem a little better O____0The Graphics were great. Some of the best i've seen on console. As were the water effects.
The gameplay itself is much improved and the Co-op seems very well done. Can't wait to play the full game with a couple friends.
Stats_
The demo wasn't that great. The graphics were alright, but not that special, and the animation in how you move wasn't that great. I felt like there was something akward about the controls, and it just wasn't that good. The only realfun I had with it was toying around with that neat cable gun thingy.
I thought the demo was a very poor first impression. There was absolutely no way to tell what to do, no explanation of events, and- wow- you're now a faceless soldier. The graphics, while pretty in some areas, were repulsive in others, and for some reason over a 30 second boat ride you go from frozen tundra to lush jungles. I felt the gameplay was very unbalanced, with most enemies taking 2 shots and dying and the large boss just having a weak spot you shoot over and over.
*Goes back to Fallout 3*
I though it looked and played great. The camera I thought was kinda bad in some places(like when you go inside the monster)
I thought the demo was terrilble, maybe it was because all you did was shoot stupid bugs, but it was just really boring. Even the last boss which i was pumped to fight after seeing videos on it was a huge let down. Maybe once you face actual enemies(humans etc) it will be better, but as of now it was dull as hell.
Also the graphics were pretty average imo. I really liked the animations for some of the bugs, it reminded me of star ship troppers which i think is a awesome approach to go, but besides that the graphics were just average nothing special.

Just some quick picks from UC2 LP2. Don't know if it proves anything.
